Exceeded my expectations
I was skeptical of purchasing this zero gravity lounger since I've owned a Zinus mattress before, and it was an uncomfortable experience. Combined with the pictures of lumpy covers left by other reviewers, it felt like a gamble. However, the dimensions were perfect for a bedroom escape and the design looked ergonomically orgasmic. So I pulled the trigger, and I'm glad that I did. I read a review where a guy took a leaf blower to his lounger while it was airing out. Since I wanted a tight fitting cover, I did the same (reverse output on a shop vac). I pumped air to the parts where the liner/foam hand wrinkles, then threw the cover into the dryer for 15 minutes with some laundry balls. These pictures are 1 hour after I removed the memory foam and cover from the box. There are still some slight wrinkles to be worked out, but they say 24-48 hours for it to expand. The base of the lounger is a firm memory foam, whereas the area on the top of the lounger (from back to feet) is a softer foam. I'm 5'6" and this lounger is just about the perfect size for me. The base of my skull hits the top of the chair and my feet dangle over the edge. I can't imagine trying to fit in this if you were any taller. It seems close to perfect for my short height, but I still kinda feel like an adult in a child's chair. It is extremely low to the ground, so you'll need to make sure you have some strength in your knees if you're an adult. That being said, this lounger is comfy. I nearly fell asleep after testing it out the first time, and it's such a relief after doing some exercise. The lumbar pillow is a nice touch and the whole feel/design of the cover feels premium, a saving grace since the chair is a bit juvenile in design. Another huge plus for me is the foot rest. Like the pictures show, it's the perfect spot to get some work done on your laptop because there's ample room. That area alone is about 22" x 13" and fits my laptop and iPad mini (in portrait road). Great for studying, working, or multitasking. Overall: I am very satisfied with my purchase and it seems like a steal for $the 190 sale price. I have a relaxing lounger that relieves pressure, gives me a quiet place to work, takes up very little room, and is beautiful to look at.

Comfortable and good-looking chair
It inflated in a few hours fully and the cover not sits tight over the frame. The cover is of good quality and most of the wrinkles came out of it with 20 min in the dryer. I did not put on the cover until about 3 hours of unpacking the chair so that I could follow the inflation to its full extent. Even after it was fully enlarged it was easy to place the cover on. The chair feels sturdy and comfortable. I got it for extended reading time with sciatica, hoping it would relieve the pressure on my spine. So far it works well and looks attractive. I like that it is wider than other similar items in the store so one can rest their elbows on the chair.

Measurements are incorrect. Does not expand as advertised. Impossible to deflate to return.
Updated 10/4/24: Chair is well over a month old now and has not expanded to fullness. It also remains tilted to one side which drives me crazy. The seller does not care. They're not interested in addressing customer problems with their product so know that you're taking a serious gamble by purchasing this chair. ---- Original review. This was probably the biggest product letdown I've ever purchased on Amazon. I need a gravity type chair and do not want an outdoor looking chair in my room. All of the images show a very tight fit with the cover on, but mine is swimming inside the cover and looks absolutely horrible. It looks like the chair has a slipcover on it that's way too big. See pics. Note: Pic of the 22 inches: the foam ends where that line is on the cover just under the 22. Under that inside the cover is empty, unused space due to lack of expansion. Pic with the 11: I moved the ruler over a bit. You can see that where the chair begins to arc it is only 12 inches. The shortest point is supposed to be 14 inches. Photo with the tag shows huge bubble of emptiness at the bottom. Photo with the tag is a closer look of the empty bubble. View from the side shows how oversize the cover is and unfilled space. Footrest view shows how loose the cover is over a wide area. You can literally grab clumps of the cover and never touch foam. I don't care about the wrinkles. I could get those out in the dryer. It's the lack of expansion that is the problem. The instructions for this item and some folks in reviews mentioned putting it into the cover after it's been out of the box expanding for 30 minutes to ensure you can get it into the cover. No such problem here. There's a ton of room inside the cover that the entire foam piece sloshes around in there. The measurements given for this product are not accurate. If you look at the images/video of the dark gray chair, it looks much smaller than the light gray chair. The models on the dark gray chair look hunched. The model lounging on the light gray chair is clearly not a short person but that person would be way too tall for the chair I received. The measurement from front to back on the one I received is 54" not 59". From the ground to the seat part is listed as being 14 inches. Mine is 11 inches. Picture a 12 inch ruler from your grade school days and then look at the pictures of this product. You can tell immediately that the images are designed to make it look taller than it really is. Look at the darker gray one as it is more prominent in that picture. Width is listed at nearly 24 inches and mine just barely reaches 22. A few inches can make a huge difference. I am 5'1" and my feet dangle over the footrest. The chai feels quite comfortable and could be such a great product, but the one I received did not expand anywhere close to advertised. The top part of the chair has a layer of softer foam and that is fine but the bottom is harder, yellow cushion type foam that did not not expand smoothly. It has patches of indents, wrinkles and hard knots throughout that will not resolve at all despite trying several ways to help it along. Maybe it was stored improperly for too long. I don't know. Many recent positive reviews indicate this expands quickly so perhaps I got a defective chair. The problem is, buying this is a real gamble because once you cut it open and it begins to expand, you can no longer deflate it to fit into the shipping box. I will update this review if by some miracle there is any improvement, but if you are considering this chair, use the dark gray chair pictures as your guide as the light gray chair with its taller model is, to me, not an accurate representation of what you will be getting.

Did not quite get there, but comfortable
UPDATE: so after 48 hours, the maximum wait time according to the manual, the lounger continue to expand to what I would say is about 95% of where I expected it to be. I am much happier now than when I bought it. According to what I've read it could expand some more in the next day. As others have suggested, I kept it in a very warm environment even placed a nearby space heater blowing on the lounger for a few hours during this period. All in all, it is comfortable and I enjoy the curves and overall feel of it. It is low to the ground so if you have bad knees or bad back I would probably look somewhere else. I placed a blanket to protect the light colored cover. I watched about 20 minutes of TV laying in it and practically fell asleep which is great. Four stars, deducted one star because of the drama it takes to get it to expand. ----------------- Original review: Note: first two pictures were taken more than 30 minutes in but less than 24 hours. The Zinus lounger is made entirely of memory foam. This is a very odd product. As indicated in previous reviews, you will be waiting for some time for it to fully expand to its expected size and shape. I removed the lounger immediately and it began expanding. Per the instructions, I waited 30 minutes before I put the cover on. But as indicated in some reviews after 2 hours the shape had not fully expanded. I've seen reviews that say it needs to be in a warm climate. Others say it takes six to seven hours. In the manual, if you can call it that, it says 24 to 48 hours. I've even seen in places 72 hours. What striking to me is that the light gray reviews seem to be somewhat worse than the dark gray reviews. It even looks like the dark gray is selling out faster than the light gray. I can't imagine the color would have any difference on the memory foam. There are some reviews that imply if a memory foam is stored for long period of time in its compressed state it can have problems expanding. Of course the biggest issue here is that you've paid a significant cost and you can't return the damn thing because there's no way to shrink it back down. I am less than 24 hours away and the pictures show exactly where I'm at. Height is roughly 26 (it should be 28.5) and the length is 52 (should be 59). The room it's in is over 70° warm and I've had a space heater on it for at least 12 hours. Hoping things will improve in the next 24 hours. Will update at that time.

Comfortable for so many reasons
Extremely enjoyable for computational work. I have been using mine for telework (laptop) and for media consumption (with an Apple Vision Pro, your head is supported at exactly the right angle). LOL, it is great for a little exercise when getting out of it. Your bottom will be only a few inches off the floor. As I am an older person, this is all to the good, but you should bear this in mind if you have mobility issues. If you have pets, you will either love it or perhaps hate it. My dogs think it is a wonderful piece of furniture because my face is right at dog-licking height. My older dog likes sleeping on it when I am not using it, as she doesn’t have to jump to get on it. The dogs can sleep right next to me on the floor making it easier to pet them when I am on it because my arms are already on their level. The covering is frankly very boring and utilitarian (and I don’t know how well it would stand up to pet paws or kiddie playing). On the other hand, it is easy enough to throw a sturdy or elegant throw over it so that’s no issue at all. Had no trouble with the expansion. In fact, the directions implied it might some hours when in fact it started decompressing as soon as I had the wrapping off. I did follow the directions and put the cover in the drier for short time to unwrinkle it and had that ready *before* I unwrapped the lounge. And still had to hustle to get the cover onto it before the lounge had fully expanded. Tip - it’s going to be easier to put the cover on before it is entirely expanded. I absolutely love this minimalistic piece of furniture and recommend it as being highly comfortable.

Very comfortable
This is a very comfortable lounger. It is a giant foam block that needs to be unpacked and allowed to expand for a couple of days so that it regains full size and firmness. Be sure to put the cover on before it expands too much or it is a very tight fit. Good quality and size, the kids love it for watching TV.

Very comfortable but foam expansion is a problem
It took over a week to expand to a point where I deemed the product "usable". I followed all the instructions. At one point I also turned it upside down and had a small heater keeping it warm to aid the expansion. There are two layers of foam, with the bottom layer being more rigid. This bottom layer never fully expanded. It got to about 95% of its size after a week and then seemed to stop making progress. I have mixed feelings because even in this condition it is one of the most comfortable chairs I have ever sat on. It is absolutely true that you feel weightless and there are no pressure points. This means it is comfortable to sit in one position without shifting around. Overall I'm keeping it and it was a good purchase.

Comfy single person lounger, but put several together and you have an awesome couch!
This is the 3rd one I've purchased and it's getting better and better as I line em up into a couch. I have a long torso and relatively short legs so I thought it might not be as comfy for other people but even though we all have different body types, everyone seems to find this a "perfect fit". The little pillow it comes with feels a little useless, not sure what it would be used for, but the lounger itself is my favorite place to sit. The packaging it comes in creates a bit of a mess when cutting it open but that's about the only complaint I have. (Oh it also takes about 2-3 days to fully regain it's form since it's delivered super compressed). The oldest one I have is 3 years old now and lined up side by side with the new one I got, they look the exact same. The cover hasn't even faded in color at all and the foam hasn't deformed one bit (surprisingly!)

Worth it!
I just had this delivered yesterday and it’s been amazing! I bought it for work so I can comfortably work from home while also being lazy. It’s perfect! Legs are elevated so you can rest your laptop on your lap and see, there’s relieving pressure points for your back. It’s amazing. The perfect small size to fit in my room. The price is steep. I would really consider getting one though, I am going to spend a good chunk of time here both on personal and business time

I love it
So comfy, stylish and worth every penny.. I don’t know what happened with the other reviews that say it didn’t expand.. mine started expanding the minute I cut into the plastic.. I love mine.. I’d leave a thousand star review if I could this is an amazing product! Buy one, you won’t regret it. My only complaint is I wish the cover came in different colours , but the grey is nice too. Highly recommend!

Defective from Day One
Product was defective and never expanded to the proper size. Started a warranty claim immediately. Took 14 plus email and fluffy responses to get then to make a decision. I had to dispose of the product prior to payment. Took over a month for a decision and to finally get my refund. Significant effort to have it refunded when all I really want was a replacement which I was told is not available yet then are still for sale online in a number of locations.

Comfy but cover too big
Cover is either too big or foam didn't expend entirely. but it's comfortable anyway.
