Perfect piece of hardware. Simple and solid. Save time and lots of money.
This is a simple, functional, effective, solid piece of hardware! It installs in no time and saved me a $300+ visit by the local plumber to stabilize a poorly installed external hose bib. $150 minimum travel time, and $150 for minimum labor. Shish! Think I'll treat myself to a 4-hour massage instead! If your hose bib has no collar with screw-mounting holes, order the butterfly clamps to save time. Amazon has it available as "Sigma Engineered Solutions Proconnex 49654 Nm/Se Two-Piece Connector 3/4-Inch To 1-Inch Conduit Fitting, 1-Pack"

Bib Buddy Installation Cost Saving Tips
Great product, but wanted to note a few items to save money and avoid frustrating errors. I will definitely buy again if I have another hose bib come loose. If you learned about Bib Buddy from the YouTube channel "Weekend Home Projects" excellent video "How to Attach Hose Bib to Brick - Install Outdoor Faucet with Hose Bib Buddy", please note there is an error in the video. The video calls for a 3/32 drill bit for the small screw pilot holes near the middle of the plate (not the outside masonry screws). However, the Bib Buddy instructions call out a 5/32 drill bit (see the image from the instructions). I followed this video and used 3/32 bit, but there was no way those screws would thread into those too small holes. So I then used a 1/8 drill bit I had and that worked, though it was very tight. Would probably work better with a 5/32 bit. You don't need buy the hex head drivers if you have a ratchet set. All screws have a screwdriver slot, so you can also use a screwdriver in that slot rather than the hex head driver. It was surprisingly easy to screw in the masonry screws after drilling the holes. Just saving money by using what I already have. Overall, Bib Buddy worked great. Finally, be sure to drill the faucet mounting holes BEFORE screwing in the plate with the masonry bits. That tip is included in video. Great product! Glad to have such an easy and elegant solution to a loose hose bib.

Great Product to reSecure Spigot
This little aluminum plate made it easy to securely mount spigots in locations where the original mounting was long gone. The plate is made of 3/16' aluminum and fits nicely behind an already existing spigot. I knew these plates would be slightly too large for my needs as the builders put the spigots within a small alcove in the wall. The aluminum was very easy to cut, polish and drill and tap. Sadly I never took final pictures and only ones after initially mounting before the final polish/fitment. This fit for both thee old original spigot that was in good shape and the new SharkBite version I also installed. I was unable to mount the spigot normally as whoever installed the original spigots made a hole that was way too large. I highly recommend using some silicone to caulk the small gap that is produced when using this product. I did not end up using flange mounting bolts but did use the spigot ones for reference and had no issues. Pros: -Decent chunk of aluminum -Easy to cut/modify -Price is good for the quality of the product -Easy installation on previously installed spigot -Has all required hardware Cons: -None Overall: I would recommend this as it is a great product that works well to remedy remounting a spigot without have to remove it and allows for easy modification as necessary.

It Works As Advertised!
The product perfectly fixed a loose hose bib that I was concerned would break loose. It’s now as tight as a drum. I suggest, however, that the seller offer the option of paying extra to get it with a masonry drill bit for the holes that attach the “Hose Bib Buddy” to the exterior wall and a metal drill for the screws that attach the hose bib to the metal plate. It took me about 10 minutes to drill each hole through the metal plate with the bit I had in my garage. If that drill bit wasn’t dull beforehand , it certainly is now. But again, the end result is excellent.

FIVE STAR SOLUTION that is EASY TO INSTALL!
It took me longer to gather the drill, driver and two bits than it did to install. This is a simple, elegant solution to loose faucet bibs, especially mounted to concrete stem wall. I have a basement and therefor have concrete backing, under the cedar siding. The hose bib was screwed into the cedar in 1985 when the house was built and has since weathered away. The result is the hose bib is loose. If this is not corrected, the inside solder joints will eventually fatigue and break from being stressed by garden hose movement. This is a really simple solution- slide it behind the bib, use a masonry bit and drill two holes and fasten the plate to the concrete. Drill two more 5/32 holes and screw in the included self-tapping screws right into the aluminum plate. Caulk it up and DONE. The supplied hardware is top shelf too. I just bought another one. I've had this since last summer- wish I would have installed it last year- I would have slept better... Be sure you have the proper sized bits on hand (and especially, the 3/16 MASONRY bit called out in the SUGGESTED TOOLS).

2 years later and it still looks new
I am very impressed with this wall cover. I installed it two years ago. It still looks just as good as new, no rust no corrosion. It was pretty easy to install and it feels high-quality. This was definitely needed to cover up a decent size hole. We had a round spigot.

I was surprised by the quality of this bib. It’s quite a robust piece of metal, not flimsy, so I can understand the price point. I needed these to reinforce my outside hose valves. Works well, I’m quite happy.

Nice finish look once installed. Very easy to install with proper tools such as hammer drill and rotary drill. Keep in mind you will need proper size drill but wchich is specified in introduction that come with the product. Small gap between plate and hose bib possibly due to uneven wall but works fine. Screws that secure hose bib to plate have to in on slight angle because hose bib is the way of the drill but very secure once installed. Happy with the product and easy installation. Dont forget to seal around hose bib plate. Install took no longer than 15 minutes.
