It doesn't really look like stone. It looks like resin. Which is fine, it is really pretty! The design is just like the pictures, and there are few manufacturing (overflowing the mold, etc) mistakes. The paint job is nice, too. It's rather heavy, which I love, so our cats can't knock it off the table. It has metal cup holders inside the resin for the candles. I would recommend LED tapers instead of real tapers though, because the wax will get in the crevices of the celtic knotwork, and it is really hard to get out.I would definitely recommend this!
