Hasbro Kylo Ren B3925 FX Black Series
This Kylo Ren lightsaber is awesome. It's a higher end product and thusly expensive. It always sparks the conversation with oohs and aahs and everyone wants hold it and swing it around. It's looks and sounds great. You actually feel like Kylo Ren when you hold it. It's seriously badass. The Mfg suggested price is $199.00 which is the price I paid. Be careful as many unscrupulous sites or 3rd parties are selling the same product way above the MFG suggested price taking advantage of the temporary shortage. Make sure you are buying the correct model which is B3925. It is copyrighted by Disney and Hasbro. This lightsaber is manufactured by Hasbro. The Hilt (handle) is made of metal and very detailed. It takes 3 AA batteries. It's fairly large in circumference at 6.5 to 7" at its widest point. The lightsaber is heavy and has a total weighs over 3 pounds. The blade and cross guards have a tough polycarbonate outer shell with an inner liner of plastic and foam surrounding and protecting the LED array. The lights sequence to the sword tip when turned on and then the cross guards sequence on. Very cool. The individual LEDs that make the sword and cross guards are well diffused and can not be individually seen. The red light is very bright compared to most other lightsabers. There are multiple sounds created when the lightsaber from when it's turned on or off, waved in the air or struck on a surface/another blade. The sound is nominally loud. Sounds great and different from any other lightsabers. The overall length is about 43.5 inches with blade length of 32.5" with the cross guards at 5". The enclosed stand is polycarbonate and offers several positions to display the lightsaber. The box is rectangular and the lightsaber is very well protected by internal foam packing. The box was shipped from Amazon just wrapped in protective plastic not in another box. I was concerned at first but all was OK.

Steep price, but well worth it for fans!
Star Wars is back and bigger than ever, and Hasbro has done justice to the newest lightsaber. The price is steep, but holding this monster in your own hands, you can see and feel the quality put into it. It's huge and fairly weighty, and the bright-red flickery blade effect (complete with crackling sound effects) is superb. The speaker is located further inside the hilt, so you may notice the sound is not as loud as other Force FX lightsaber models, but it's good enough. The ignition sound, and the exhaust blades lighting up on cue shortly after the main blade is a joy to behold every time. Very cool. If you love this new lightsaber design and have money burning a hole in your pocket, I can't recommend it enough!

Great prop for cosplayers
I bought this as someone looking to put a Kylo Ren cosplay together, not so much as a collector. So my review will be focused on this lightsaber as a prop, instead of a display item. First of all, though, it does NOT include the AA batteries required. Make sure you pick up a pack, or order them along with this! Some positives first. The attention to detail is really incredible. I love everything about the hilt, including the "discolored" metal near the crossguard vents. It really looks like the metal has been affected by the heat of the beam. The power up and power down sequences are amazing, too. The main blade lights up, and then the crossguards. When powered down, all lights fade down together, back into the hilt. When the saber is on, the lights are constantly humming and flickering, like Kylo Ren's saber in the film. This is my first Force FX saber, so I had no idea the lights would be this cool. I'm super excited about that. I know a lot of complaints involve the speakers. Personally, if they are quiet compared to the other sabers, I don't mind at all. I'll be carrying this around conventions and events, and I don't want to be blaring sound effects in a public space like that. If it were up to me, there would be a volume function somewhere. However, the sfx for movement and the blade hitting are so good that I won't take off any points for the fact that they're always on. A few negatives, or maybe just general comments on how I think this could've been improved. The label stickers (three in total) are basically glued on. It would not have been difficult to make those vinyl clings, rather than actual stickers. I'm still working as carefully as I can to remove all the residue without damaging the paint. The saber itself is also very heavy. While I appreciate that it does not feel cheap, it might be tiring to carry around an event for the entire day. And finally, the blade itself is very perfect, like the other Force FX lightsabers. It might've been cool to distort the glass to give the blade a more ragged look, closer to canon, but that's such a "wishlist" request. All in all, money well spent! I'm very excited to complete my costume and show this lightsaber off!

Great light saber with great sound effects and pretty good ...
Great light saber with great sound effects and pretty good brightness! Just a heads up, this is a collectible item and definitely not meant for dueling whatsoever. It will mostly certain break the blade if you try and duel with it. Overall though, the hilt is fairly sturdy and easy to grip, the sound effects are not super loud but loud enough and they make noises when you move the saber/tap it on things, and it's pretty well made. If you want a saber that looks great but you also want to duel with it, you'll need to head to somewhere like saberforge and spend an extra 200$ or so. Here's some pics of me in my Kylo Ren Costume with the Force FX saber here, and another pic of it hanging on my wall using a standard saberstand.

Really nice sounds are good but if you want to buy go for it really good weight because the Hilt is made from metal

This is the Kylo Ren Force FX Lightsaber, purchased on sale for $99.99 This lightsaber is impressive, most impressive ;-) It's all metal hilt is heavy and well accented, but probably the largest hilts of the lightsabers I own (I don't own Darth Maul, but could see it being equal sized). I don't have large hands, but neither are they petite, and I can't get my fingers wrapped all the way around the hilt. It's definitely designed as a full two-hander in length and weight. Speaking of the hilt accents, a very nice touch is also a small concern: a red, soft plastic wire on the back of the hilt. Nice touch that it's flexible and truly representative of the stage prop. I'm not sure how durable this little wire will be under pressure. Just moving the saber around in my hand a bit, I could feel my fingers plucking at it. I could see this wire breaking over time, or with repeated use. The power switch for the saber is at the top of the hilt (and is depicted clearly in the listing photos, last one down I think), and is a simple up=on, down=off slide switch. I'm not terribly familiar with the working's of the original, and I haven't seen the film enough times to be certain... But I think the correct activation switch is supposed to be down more, just beneath where the model's thumb is on the listing photo. It's size, look, and placement are more in tune with where previous sabers have had their switches, and seems truer to where you would actually have your hand ready to go. The small switch right at the top of the hilt seems wrong to me, but it may well be screen accurate. This is my own observation of design, and in no way hinders this review nor my overall satisfaction with it. ~EDIT (June 18,2019: Having just seen the Kylo Ren Legacy Light Saber Hilt, the correct position for the On/Off switch IS supposed to be lower. This Black Series one is placed incorrectly.~ The sounds are as expected, with a few different types for power up/down, "idling", slow movement, waving, and contact. The lights themselves are also well done, with steady red and the occasional flicker from Ren's unstable Kyber crystal. Some things to be cautious of, and you need to really check when you get yours: This lightsaber seems to have an issue with the side cross guards being loose in varying degrees. You'll have to do your own checking, but I found a few videos and other reviews online noting this as well. They should be snug, with no real movement of the smaller LED posts. One of mine is only very slightly loose, and only noticed when actually moving it with my hand, it does not wiggle on it's own. Check your LEDs! For any lightsaber, there may be dead zones on your blade/s. Mine had none, but they will present as a vaguely dark ring around the LED tube - and this can be in more than one spot. Lastly, as others have mentioned, my heaviest criticism is not of the product, but how it is shipped. THERE IS NO SHIPPING BOX! It's comes only in it's original product box, with a mailing label stuck right on the face of it. Utterly senseless. More to the point, Amazon has a listing category for this type of shipping, but it's oddly missing from this listing: "Certified Frustration-Free Packaging". Had it been listed correctly that way, it is a hyperlink to info including the note:"These packages are usually shipped in the original packaging directly to you." Collector's beware, even though my saber was not damaged, my product box was in very poor shape. Torn side flap, gouged out spots where the corrugated ribs are visible, scratches and scuffs everywhere, and several tape-down points torn. This is unacceptable, and Amazon needs to immediately address this. I've had other large items arrive in large boxes, I'm sure this can be accommodated. This saber is certainly a high quality toy, but it's also a collectible, and continued value is based heavily on condition of original packaging. Not solely, but heavily. No points deducted, as that issue is not product related, that is supplier/shipper issue. I even asked for replacement to be sent in a proper shipping box, and it wasn't. 2nd box worse than first. Also, the replacement lightsaber was physically worse than 1st - having some dead LEDs on blade and one looser cross guard. The "replacement" is the one being returned, and no further attempt will be made. Sadly, I now have a cut-rate collectible due to badly damaged product box. Collectors may which to opt for a retail shop purchase instead if paying full price since you can assess the product box first hand.

This is an amazing replica of a very cool lightsaber! You can see I am a verified purchase, so here is my honest review of the Kylo Ren Lightsaber, I tried to give as much relevant detail as possible. If the review is too long, I'd say overall I'm really happy with the purchase, if you like the look of this lightsaber pick it up before the movie comes out or if it goes on sale, as I can pretty much guarantee the price will go way up after the movie comes out. 1. The hilt of the sword is actual metal, not molded plastic as some reviewers are saying it is in error. It is metal, painted to look weathered. There is also a real wire on the outside of the hilt that looks cool. I am not sure if this is cosmetic, or is wired to the electronics of the lightsaber, nevertheless it's very well done. The lightsaber on off switch is subtle, and it's much better if you peel off the on/off sticker on the hilt. 2. Brightness and light effects are just awesome. The sword has a cool flicker on the crossbar when it's turned on. Also the light up effects are great when you first turn it on, the sword lights up first then the crossbar lights up on a slight delay. 3. Sound. Some people are criticizing the sound and I have no idea why. This thing is loud, and sounds meaty and awesome. The hum is lower and deeper than a standard lightsaber - watch the movie trailer, it's supposed to sound like that! The lightsaber clashing sound is great, as is the sword swinging sounds. It even responds well to fast vs. slow swings and produces different sounds. The on/off light up effects are accompanied by very cool effects as well. The reviewers complaining about the sound are dead wrong, this is the best sounding lightsaber replica I've heard. 4. Weight and size. This thing is big, and rather heavy! I personally like that, it feels very real and powerful in your hands. The sword length is a good deal larger than other lightsabers I've seen, and the hilt is metal and heavier. Fair warning, this is not the best for kids if they plan on swinging it around, they could lose their grip on it and won't be able to control it (like I say it's heavy). To me this is a display collectible item, not a toy, treat it as such. One fair warning, shipping comes in the original packaging. They will put labels directly on the box unless you gift wrap it. If you want an intact box, I suggest you do so. Personally I don't care about the box, but some collectors might, you've been warned. I didn't want to downgrade the product review for this, because the Lightsaber itself is awesome, but the shipping is really disappointing and my box arrived slightly damaged.

La línea FX de estos lightsabers equilibran el detalle del diseño con grandes sonidos y la posibilidad de dar algunos golpes y resistirlo. Lo compré el primeday con un gran descuento y vale la pena.
