The soil quality is really good — light, well-draining, and holds moisture nicely. I’ve used it for potted plants and vegetables, and they’re growing better than before. The only downside is the price, which feels a little high compared to similar options. Overall, still a solid product.

first, it has many ingredients and really no soil to speak of. second, either the compost it uses resembles peat moss or it indeed uses peat moss, but its not a sustainable resource and the industry has moved away from using it. lastly, don't bother using a granular fertilizer to give your plants a boost. the label says it feeds plants for 6 months and won't list the npk ratio. but if its miracle gro then its gonna be all nitrogen so beware if growing flowers or bulbs. also, its too costly for a container garden but unless you need 2 bags of 1 cu ft of potting mix, then go for it.

I placed my order on 1/8/26 for (2) 8 quart size bags of this Miracle Gro Potting Mix(Grows Plants Twice As Big). It came well packaged, a box inside of another box and paper stuffing to hold bags tight in the second box. The bags had very tiny fork holes along the sides. I guess that's how the manufacturer preserves the mix. I only opened one bag for my use immediately checking for fungus nats! Thank GOD this mix came bug free!!! I sterilized the mix to make sure any and all bugs that were not seen were killed before repotting my plants. Hoping to see great growth results!

Im a teacher and was teaching a life cycle of a pumpkin. I was SO worried that this wasn't going to work as it had been a month of trying and nothing had happened yet. 10 days after I added brand new Miracle grow potting mix THE PUMPKIN STARTED GROWING FAST!! Look. Im a Dad of 2 kids. I work so many hours at work. I just needed this to work I had no extra time. And then BOOM 💥 just like magic... I mean look at my pictures! I dont know how to grow ANYTHING lol 😆 And im growing this pumpkin SO WELL im so proud ofyself and will be doing this every year now with my kids.
