latex finger cots
I am allergic to adhesives which means I can't use bandaids and such. So.. I often use these with a little gauze. Works for a short time - You need various sizes. This large size is perfect for thumbs. I also purchased the XL and they are HUGE... maybe for your big toe? The medium works for all my other fingers. You don't want to cut off circulation. They ARE latex in case that's an allergy for you. They are pretty thin so they stand up to heavy use. And they will fill with water if you put the opening edge under water or faucet. They are an ivory color.

So helpful for protecting my fingers
The dermatologist had to get aggressive with removing some warts, this being the third try. While the wounds are healing up, I needed something that would go over the band-aids. These finger cots work great at keeping moisture out so I can work in the kitchen, wash my hands, etc. I do change them out after about four hours since sweat from my finger will wet the bandage underneath. I find it helpful to stretch the cot open, place my bandaged finger in the cot and then roll it on the finger. This is size Large for small fingers with bandages.

Sizing may not matter as much as you think...
I have small hands and got these in size small after reading reviews. The size small definitely doesn't run large. To give you an idea of my fingers, the base of my thumb and pointer fingers measure a little over 2 inches wide with my pointer finger measuring over 2.5 inches in length.I've found the size small to be too long on most fingers and uncomfortably tight around the base of my thumb (which is the finger I needed it for), but it doesn't really matter because I just pull it on and cut at the band on the bottom (the band is the thicker part that will cut off your circulation). The length is adjustable even if you don't cut it (it just rolls up or stretches out), so I wouldn't worry about length.Because it fits so snugly on my entire thumb (and most of my other fingers) I can rip off the bottom to allow for circulation and comfort without worrying about it sliding off my finger. Since it's too long for my fingers anyways, this works well for me (it doesn't matter as long as it's long enough to go past your knuckle). It doesn't let any water in when washing dishes or taking a shower. It's not completely comfortable because it's tight, but since I need it to be tight (i have to keep my thumbnail dry due to an injury) I'm not sure it would work as well in size medium for me. Anyways, it's comfortable enough that I forget about it after awhile. If you're getting them for something other than keeping a wound dry you probably wouldn't need them as tight, so if you've got small hands I'd order a medium. I'd probably go with a large if you're a man with normal sized hands and you don't need them super tight. As far as durability goes, I haven't found these to tear too easily. I've been using them while prepping food (with sharp knives) and doing various chores and I have yet to have any of them break open or tear while wearing them.UPDATE: Apparently size does matter? i finally ran out of these and recently ended up buying them again in size medium, cause for some reason they no longer offer size small. They seem like a totally different product in size medium! The size medium is a lot more comfortable (they don't cut off my circulation), but they also seem A LOT shorter, possibly b/c they're just not tight enough to stretch out. They might work for people with bigger fingers, but the medium size is not tight enough to be waterproof on me, so I won't be buying them again. I'm not even sure I'd buy the size small again, because like I said, it seems like a different product now (who knows if they'd send the same version!).

The best!!
The best! When in the office I use roughly 12 per day and I love them. They work better than any I’ve bought in the past 25 years. I usually have active length nails but they still work even when my nails are long almond shape. They don’t cut off my circulation either but I do wish they would be pre rolled but totally worth it!!

Finger covers
The finger covers are perfect for working with paint or pastels. It prevents the paints from getting into your fingernails and the fit is perfectly snug.

Extremely disappointed... Not the same as they used to be.
I have been buying these same finger cots for years. I deliver newspapers, and my finger will get extremely dry and cracked from the newsprint absorbing all the moisture from my hands. These do a great job preventing that, and also allow me to easily get a grip on very thin inserts that are normally hard to pick up one at a time. At least they did up until this most recent purchase... The cots that I just bought are very different from the ones I've gotten every time before. The old ones always fit very snuggly, covered the entire length of my index finger, and had a nice thick "band" at the bottom. These new ones, though the same size I've always bought, aren't near as long, fit extremely loose to the point they won't even stay on my finger, and have a very thin, cheap feeling band. They're even a different color than the old ones and seem to not even be the same material. In the pictures, the first two pictures are of the old ones (with the newspaper ink all over it) compared to the new ones I just received. I was at first willing to chalk it up to a fluke box, but I bought two boxes of them and both are exactly the same. I'm not sure if they've changed their product entirely or if there was some sort of issue with a batch or what the deal is, but these will be going in the trash as they're completely unusable for my purposes. I did notice that they came in a different, redesigned box than they used to, which leads me to believe they've changed the product and made it completely useless, to me at least. Just as I was writing this review, I noticed on the box that the old ones were made in China, and these new ones are made in Malaysia... So buyer beware, if you've used these before, you may not get the same thing you're used to... I guess I'll be shopping for another brand.

Good product but very difficult to put on.
I needed to order some of these finger cots #3908 M. I've ordered these 4 times now and although they are more expensive than some other brands I know they work well for me. I again placed an "order again" on Amazon making sure to use my previous order link and checked the item number to ensure it was the same product. I was very disappointed to find out they no longer come rolled up. Instead of placing them on the end of your finger and unrolling them up your finger you now have to either try to roll them up yourself before using or attempt to pull them on when takes a long time sometimes ending up with them tearing. Unfortunately I have opened them so can't return but will not purchase these again. I called the company and was told they do not have the rolled up type anymore.

Muy útiles!
Excelente producto para no dejar marcas de las huellas de los dedos al trabajar. Usualmente los uso unas 3 o 4 veces antes de que se rompan. Esta medida queda muy bien a mis dedos.
