Texture is good and holds flavor

I’m trying to be more vegetarian for my significant other. I looked into this. Experimented with it by boiling it in vegetarian chicken stock, rosemary, and maybe a little too much Kitchen Bouquet Seasoning Sauce for 10 mins. Squeezed it. Sautéed it in butter. It tasted like a nice cut up juicy steak. I WAS SHOCKED! My brain turned off for a moment. Anyways! Looking forward to experimenting with it more!

I’m conflicted about this. May have to look at some recipes to entice my kids. But size and value I’ll give an A+ Update** I’ve mastered my recipe. Once rehydrated the chunks are big so I chopped it up and went ahead with my plan. No complaints

I purchased these for the first time and didn't know what to expect. They remind me a little of tofu, they have no flavor until you add it. You can be quite creative when making these. I rehydrate these with a seasoned broth instead of just water and they are very tasty. I told my son about them and I ended up getting him them. He made popcorn chicken with them and my two grandsons ended up loving them, they are 5 and 6. For the quantity, quality and price, these are definitely worth trying.

Received good size clear plastic container containing the "nuggets". My issue is there is no label confirming the source (Rani), no nutritional information, no other information whatsoever, except an Amazon inventory label. For all I know someone could have filled this with dogfood and I'd be none the wiser... It does not come with the label that is shown in the picture, and from that label one cannot read the nutrition information. When ordering, I assumed that would be included and I could get the information then. I'm still awaiting a response back from Rani. Update 6/9/26: still awaiting Rani’s response.

These soya chunks have the mouthfeel of cooked hamburger chunks. They absorb the fluid of whatever you put them in, and soften up within a few minutes. I toss them in the "Bear Creek" chili mix that I also order from Amazon, and they become indistinguishable from the ground beef that I also add. I put them in instant Ramon noodles, and they end up tasting like the children or beef flavor of the noodle flavor packet.

I bought these soy protein chunks as a replacement for the brand I’ve used for years, and I’m pleasantly surprised! There’s no noticeable difference in texture or taste, and they cook up just as well and work perfectly in my recipes. Glad I gave this brand a try!

I've been looking for a way to get soy chunk alternative protein in bulk and I thought this would be it. They plump up well when boiled, but the smell is pretty bad and it wafts throughout my entire house even with the hood vent on high so I'm going to need to get a big air filter in the kitchen. The flavor is also not that great. If you boil them, rinse, squeeze out all the liquid, and then cook them in soups and curries it absorbs some of that flavor, but the general taste of the defatted soya chunks is still there and it's not pleasant if you have GERD when it comes back up. I may or may not buy them again in the future but I am glad there is at least a box this size at the lower price per ounce.

it’s a freat addition or substitute for beef chunks.

One of my favourites can do different recipes with it mine is soya potatoe curry !

I bought it because it was less expensive that in the store. As per their description, they are made of non GMO soy, so good quality at this price. The taste is very good.

These are easy to rehydrate and cook, great texture , good bite size, add any spice to make your meal. I made sweet and sour sauce and cooked it with colourful peppers, excellent vegan meal!
