Tofu Press - Easily Removes Water from Tofu for Better Texture and Taste

I looked at a lot of tofu presses and read a lot of reviews. I was worried about the reviews stating that the clips on this one were very hard to get to snap closed. I am so glad I decided to buy this one based on the majority of positive reviews. It works great, and the clips are not hard to snap IF the lid is lined up correctly. The second time I used this item, one of the clips didn't want to snap, I admit that I was worried. I looked closely at the lid and noticed that the lid was not exactly lined up. I moved the lid a little to align it and the clip snapped easily. I then unsnapped it and tried re-snapping with the lid just a little out of alignment. Most of the time when it was out of alignment the clips were either hard to snap closed or just didn't want to snap closed. More force is rarely the answer in life. I have a few close friends and family members that think that way and they break a lot of stuff lol.I buy extra firm tofu, and most of the excess water gets pressed out in just a few minutes using this press. if you leave it for longer a little more water will get pressed out. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and if it went missing I would buy another right away.

it works but I was unable to lock all 4 sides. Directions state that if it's difficult, try waiting 15 minutes for some of the liquid to drain out on it's own, but who has time for that? my mind will be on 10 other things by then.

I eat tofu. A lot. and I was still doing the old "plate sandwich" with a towel trick. One star off for the plastic quality (it's *fine*), but I couldn't find one that wasn't plastic so I'm just hoping it stands up to constant use. It's WAY more convenient. I even toss it back in the fridge as a storage container as I'm eating through a block.

this thing is a bugger to snap on one long side and on the end it doesn't snap tight at all. it seems to take longer to close that it would to squeeze the darn water out myself 😊.

The press works well. It uses a c shaped plastic clip to secure lid. The clip needs adjusting. Therefore, bound to fail. Probably after 30-40 uses but otherwise good.

Love this little press! I seriously have no idea why I didn’t get one sooner. This sure beats pressing the tofu between two baking sheets and piling books on top of it to squeeze the water out. Now, I can load the tofu into the press and put it back in the fridge to drain. My only complaint are the tabs are a little tricky to snap into place with a block of tofu loaded into it, but I won’t let that stop me from giving it 5 shining stars.

I bought and returned several of these. I saw pretty good reviews on this so gave it a try and I was so happy I did. I have used it many times and it works perfectly. It drains the water form the tofu and it clips very easy. Easy to close and open; easy to clean and would definitely purchase another one.
