What is the inside of the material like? Is it very thin and fuzzy?

In 2020 the inside is just like the outside. Not soft like sheep wool. Quality has gone down.

What is the difference between Deep Navy and Navy?

I would think the deep navy would be darker, but I got a maroon one.

Will this material pill up after washing?

It's 10% polyester and the cotton quality is not so great, so the fabric definitely pills and starts looking kind of gross after multiple washings. I'm on my second one and in my experience it works best as a lightweight jacket that you don't wash often.
