Tough, soft, good size
This has been in use for about 2 months now and it has held up very very well with four horses. I fill it with a single 45-55 lb square bale; it's like putting on a very stubborn pillow case. I don't cut the strings until after it is in the bag and in my feeder. The biggest issue I had was the rope provided to close it was only 5 feet in length and I had replace that with something longer. The other minor problem is the tougher support rope around the opening just has the netting woven around it, so however my horses are tugging on it they cinch the top closed and every so often I have to work it open more again. I clip it into a (previously leaking) 100 gallon Rubbermaid trough using carabineer clips on hitching rings.

Fits a 3-wire bale easily
The netting seems durable & the bigger holes make it easy for my mule to snack. I don't need to slow down his eating, but the net keeps him from dragging flakes out of his stall & wasting hay. This bag is easy to load and easy to tie up. It is roomy enough to slide over a 3-wire bale but snug enough that it sits flat against the hay. We'll see how it lasts but I think it'll be fine. Great hay net for the price.

Very Nice Hay Net. Only One Complaint….
This hay net is soft and durable and very easy to fill. The only thing I have against it are the size of the holes. They are too small for a regular size horse not to become frustrated by the hole size. When the hay net is bursting full it is okay and the hay pokes out, but when it ceases to be really full it seems it is nearly impossible for any horse to work the hay out through the holes and they give up. It’s a shame because it would be so great to be able to go away for a night in decent weather without my horses running out of hay, but this is still a problem for me, because the horses get frustrated and finally give up. One of my horses is a complete porker and would eat until she exploded if she could and even she gives up.I love that the hay net is safe and not made of a tear proof nylon so that it wouldn’t rip, if needed. It’s very soft and safe. I would recommend to make the weave bigger, perhaps 3” holes. As far as all the complaints about the rope being open ended…. It’s plenty long. For Heaven’s sake! Just tie a square knot in the rope and suddenly, it’s a circle! Magic! It tastes 30 seconds to weave the rope through and it ties easily. That is not a problem. I’m not sure if it’s possible to enlarge the weave, but it does hold a a good size rectangle bale of hay without a a problem- 37-50 pounds. I drop the bale in from the end with the net gathered like one does putting on panty hose, on the ground, and then pull it up, tie the top, place it where I want it and then cut the bale ties. Works like a charm. Be careful if your horses have front shoes on if you leave this on the ground. They could tangle, but this net will tear if under duress. Just based off the soft weave it is made of, unlike nylon nets. It can also be hung by chains. Would work well in a trough feeder if you don’t have enough horses to eat a round bale without waste or bad weather.Still trying to figure this out, but the price point can’t be beat and it’s a very well made hay net.I hope the makers of this net change the weave size to accommodate horses with regular size muzzles and lips because this is the only issue, but it’s a pretty big one and it should be easy to fix.Thumbs up on this product, especially for mini horses.

So far, so good
Feeding two minis and this works well! Its made of heavy and thick nylon, doesn't feel cheap at all. Fits our bales in with a little wiggle room. I want to buy the 1.5" eventually too.

Super Disappointing- Ripped in less than 20 days
I am so disappointed in this hay net. For the price, it should have at least lasted a couple of months. But instead it already has a rip in it. Only 2 horses (not big either) have eaten from it and they are NOT rough on hay nets either. The only plus I can say is it did comfortably fit a full bale.

Absolutely love this hay net
Great product - better value then other brands on the market. I have 8 horses and 4 of them are super easy keepers. This hay net is easy to fill and helps me keep their weight under control. It is very well made and the cinch is easy to tie even in Minnesota winters. One of my favorite features is how the net is shaped. It’s not just a big sack. It has a well defined bottom which makes it very easy to load a square bale. I have 4 of these nets now and would have more if they came in larger hole sizes.

My mare is capable of ripping holes in a hay net faster than I can blink an eye. I normally only purchase high end expensive hay nets but decided to give this brand a try.Pros: it's big. I can easily fit an entire 2-string bale of hay in the net and close the net.The hole size is perfect for my mare to be able to get hay out without getting frustrated and ripping holes in the net.The hole size is perfect for slowing my metabolic mare down so she can eat without getting frustrated and ripping holes in the net.I stand the bale up on end, center the bottom of the hay net over the bale and then sort of shimmy it down to cover the bale. I then drop the bale on its side and tie shut. I do not cut the twine on the bale until the hay net is located where the horse will be eating out of it. The net is so large that once the twine is cut, the whole thing becomes really floppy and difficult to manage with the twine cut.Con: The rope that comes with the hay net is not quite long enough to open the hay net wide enough to get the net down over the bale easily. I purchased rope and replaced the rope that came with the net, which makes it much easier to get the net over the bale.Overall, I have high hopes that this hay net will stand up to my horse's aggressive eating tactics.

Fits a full square bale *make note of hole sizes*
The product is exactly as ordered and seems well made and durable (I have only used it once). I took it to a horse show and loved the ease of just hanging a full bale instead of refilling other haynets multiple times a day. I will say when the bag is full the holes do get smaller which is great for an easy keeper however for my horse I will be ordering the one with the larger holes.

Absolute Empfehlung!
