Has anybody folded the hat and packed it in a suitcase? How does it look after?

I don't expect it's soft enough to fold into a suitcase without causing permanent damage. This hat is firmly shaped & comes in a plastic mold to prevent folding.

Does this hat (2023) come with a chin strap and if so, is it detachable? All the images show no strap. It's nice if you can detach if no wind.

Yes the hat does have a chin strap and is detachable. Also, I have a small head. There is an adjustment inside the crown of the hat. Hat fits perfect with a small adjustment. LOOKS great on too!
