Cost effective and solid
I would trust this light with my life in 98% of scenarios I would be in. It goes on my real pew pew when I'm not using it for airsoft. I have played in a few rainy games, Dropped it, played in extreme heat, and had it in mud. It never once flickered or failed me in any manner. As far as it's quality of light, it leaves very little to be desired. It has a strong focal point with a good bit of ambient lighting around where you point it. I found it's beam to be plenty usable up to 150 yards with plenty to spare too. I didn't even touch what I believe it was capable of. It does get extremely hot btw. I mean extremely hot. It burned my bed sheet in seconds with it's light beam but that's because I dropped it and it was on and I didn't think anything of it till it started smoking after 4 seconds. Battery life is great never had an issue especially because I use the pressure pad to only use it when I need. 10/10 would recommend yes I am sure a surefire would put preform this light but it would not do so at this price point and the gains would be absolutely marginal.

Good addition to sbr build
The light is good quality. The charging mechanism is smart. It fits quite well on a 10" sbr build. It's bright and I like the different options, strobe, click-on, hold-on/off. The switch is easy to manipulate and sits nicely along the handguard. It's well designed and comes with everything you need to install and operate.

Great product!!
Despite the haters, I have one of these on a couple "toys" easy install, easy charge.. light up any room without the surefire price tag!

Olight doesn't disappoint; epitome of bang for buck.
*1st impressions, will update review after some "field" time.* Box organization is legit. Includes: Quick guide, thorough guide, light (clips into included mount or any Scout light mount!), rechargable battery (massive!), adjustable/multiple configuration picatinny light mount (which is super sturdy & is a clever design), magnetic tape-switch (snaps right to the charging location, also locks into place, another well thought design), proprietary picatinny tape-switch mount (polymer), proprietary magnetic USB charger (Olight standard issue, love these chargers & the indicator light), & lastly some misc. hardware (2 Allen-head screws + Allen wrench, if you choose to use a different mount). Features: 2 modes (if there's more, I'm unaware). Low mode - activated by a light push to the end of the tail-cap. High mode - complete depress of the tail-cap button. Momentary mode of high & low if you, respectively, push & hold the tail cap button. With the tape-switch attached, you only get momentary & on/off high mode. There's just a few negatives I have at this time: You're instructed to charge the light before 1st use, however, the indicator light never turned green by charging from the back of the light (intended method) even though the battery was fully charged. I had to take the battery out of the light & put the charger straight to it, which immediately turned green, cause it was obviously fully charged; I wish there was an included charging brick. & finally, the tape-switch: the connector part is legit! yet the switch itself is HUGE, it's thick & pretty lengthy. I hope that the mass = durability, time will tell.

Good home defense light. Needs work for Duty use
The Good: Brightness - the light has great illumination as advertised. Rifle rail mounting - this light comes with an excellent mounting device that allows quick attach/detach from a picatinny rail. It makes the light useable as a handheld light if need be without utilizing tools to remove it from the gun. There is a twist and push button that allows it to be secured or removed very quickly. Charging/battery - the light comes with a magnetic usb charger that attaches and locks to the base of the light. This is a great feature that allows for quick charging. Battery life is decent, but running it on high will heat up the body of the light and drain the battery fast. Quality - the light is made of high quality and has been very durable. I utilize this light on my duty rifle and it has held up fine. The bad: Pressure switch - the on/off functions are performed with a single bar type button. Quick pushes allow on/off illumination and a long hold and release keeps the light on. This becomes an issue because during room clearing or where light disciple is critical, the light stays constantly on due to the function of the pressure switch. The switch also attaches to the base of the light magnetically (nice), but has a poor locking feature. It locks by pushing up on the magnetic base, but easily comes undone if accidentally pulled rearward during rifle manipulations or if it is bumped. This is a huge issue because it renders the switch useless and has to be reattached. Olight needs to create a better lock for this. Light on/off button - this is an other issue. The on/off button at the base of the light requires a light push for low mode and a hard push for high mode. This is not like other lights with similar functionality, rather it is cumbersome. The problems are similar to the pressure switch on/off functions and the light doesn’t function with ease when tactical usage of the light is necessary. Overall: This is a nice light, but the pressure switch and how it locks needs improved. Surefire and Streamlight have pressure switches with an independent on/off pad and constant on button. Olight should mimic their setups. The on/off button on the light needs fixed too. Again, take a lesson from Surefire of Streamlight. Make it programmable and allow change in intensity with designated clicks of the button. Training with the light helps, but it is not on par with Surefire or Streamlight functionality and ease of usage regarding illumination manipulation.

Another great product
CONs first: 1. The light itself has the T mount built-in and is not removeable (connects the light to the pic rail mount). Doesn't take away from using it as a flashlight, just mentioning it (not a con for me because it will not replace my Warrior 3 for that function and it will always be this rifle's mounted light) 2. The tail light remote switch is their basic on/off 1 button remote. Not the one with the large "on" and small low on buttons 3. Like everyone says, it'll get hot when used for extended periods at high lumen so be careful. Olight owners have known about this for years PROs: 1. The pic mount is a HUGE upgrade over their original mount. Even though the light has a built-in T mount, I prefer this much more because removing the light is easy and doesn't require removing the entire mount system or need tools to remove the light (the rail mount is tightened down by allen and the light removal can be done by hand) 2. As with all olights, the magnetic charging cable is an excellent idea. Disregard all the people that complain about a custom, proprietary cable that you have to keep track of. This is better in many ways to a conventional male-to-female cable. Although this model doesn't have GL, when it does and is sighted in, you want to limit moving the lights so they're not knocked off center 3. Well constructed, as with all olights, without costing a fortune 4. Large battery capacity. Unknown how long it'll keep offline but this is similar to my Warrior and that keeps a 90% charge stored for longer than a year of standby I have many lights (sort of a light fanatic) from cheap to really high end. Based off quality/price/purpose, you really can't go wrong with any of the olights (I currently have 11 different models with 5 of them being the magnetic charge capable ones). They have become my goto for hand, pistol, rifle, and lamp. Being able to charge easily with bank or solar is a seriously great option and I keep both in my buyout. Aside from any defective one you might receive (out of 14 purchases, 11 for me and 3 as gifts, I've not had one), you'll be happy with these. They are made in China, not an issue for me (research where battery and chipset material comes from mostly), but the quality is not what people often relate products from that region as...they are really high quality items.
