Finicky connection at the start, now works great.
I'm using this to stream wirelessly through the optical out to a Denon PMA-1600N powering Focal Chora 826s. Initially had trouble with it staying connected to my wifi router a few rooms over. However, once I put the antenna at the 12 o'clock position I've had no issues (I was trying to hide the antenna under the amp at first). Sound quality is great, the specs state it's 16-bit, 44khzโnot sure what some of the other reviewers are confused about with those numbers. If I'm doing super critical listening I'll use USB from the Macbook to the Denon. However, for 99% of my listening the streamer is more than adequate. Am now buying a second streamer for the office system's Sansui AU-2900. Be patient with the pairing process, the sound quality and daily convenience are worth it.

Works but with network security issues
Setup was quick and easy. Sound was pretty darn good using Spotify connect on โvery highโ quality. This unit did what I wanted it to do. Big however. After connecting to my wifi using my password the unit repeatedly tried to connect to a suspicious website (a numerical IP address). Fortunately my home network security blocked it, but this happened literally every 20 seconds or so continually for hours and hours. Iโve got hundreds of notifications from my security system to prove it. I sent an email with this concern to Audioengine customer service but they never replied (other than the automated message telling me to visit their website and fill out a form with a bunch of other personal information). I donโt know whatโs going on with this unit but it seemed like too big a security risk and the company did nothing about it. Returned. Very disappointing. Beware.

Solved my hum problem and sounds great!
I was having issues running my soundcard directly into my SET Class A tube amp: all sort of snap, crackle and pops...not to mention ground loop issues . This box completely isolated the amp from the card, providing a high-quality, hum-free signal. Yes, the software is a bit wonky and took a while to figure out, but once I dug in, I got it to play nice with my PC. The device maintains the soundstage and frequency response, and solved my wiring issues once and for all!

Great little streamer
The Audioengine software that runs the device isn't the best (with regards to intuitiveness and flexibility), but that's a minor complaint. This is a very simple device that does it's limited role very well

unreliable setup app
The app they have you download to do Wi-Fi setup on this device will not complete its work. I tried two B-Fi units (thinking the first was defective) but both had the same issue and had to be returned. The app offers audio confirmation it is connected, but it freezes before completing setup. Unfortunately, that means the device is useless.

Nice but too many bugs
Sounds nice but after two years I switched it to my lesser used stereo because there are too many drops with it. Auris sounds pretty damn good with no problems!

Beautiful device, works great, just too pricey
This is a great device that allows you to add speakers as Airplay speakers on your network. It can also make a receiver Airplay compatible. Through an add you connect to the unit and add it to your wifi network. Once there it's available to be used. Only drawback in the cost. In many ways it's better then the old Airport Express and offers greater wifi compatibility and doesn't use an Ethernet connection or have that as an option.

Great for Tidal
This is a great little device. Perhaps a little overpriced, but it is the cheapest wifi DAC by a reputable brand. Setup was super easy. Audio quality is phenomenal on Tidal, indistinguishable from a CD, super detailed and clean with very low noise. This type of fidelity is simply not achievable over Bluetooth. All AirPlay compatible apps are plug and play from the iPhone/iPad. Update: I bought another, and the multi-room function works great, the two devices are perfectly synced
