A Superior Value For A Strong Trail Running Headlamp
The TINMIU Rechargeable LED Headlamp Flashlight, 2-PACK 1000 Lumen Super Bright Motion Sensor Head Lamp is a superior value for the low price. I would not want to be in the premium headlamp business and see this headlamp come on the market! At this price for TWO headlamps, it is the best value available.Yes, I own a premium headlamp (won't mention the manufacturer) and I suppose if you are a big brand name person and want to flaunt how much you spent, you might prefer to wear on of the expensive lamps around. Setting aside cost for a moment; In terms of light intensity, adjustability, modes, battery life, etc., I am indifferent between the high cost lamps and the TINMIU lamps. But I paid $100 less for TWO of the TINMIU rechargeable lamps. The only drawback to the TINMIU is that you have to recharge it - the expensive brand name rechargeable lamp I have came with a battery pack alternative, in case you prefer to use batteries, or you need an alternative to charging. But wait. There is more! And it is a big more. The TINMIU lamps is made with an LED readout on the side of the lamp that shows the level of charge. This is a very important feature. Simply turn on the TINMIU lamp and you can instantly see how much battery is left. This is key in preventing a run in the dark when your lamp begins to dim a few miles in because you failed to recharge it. I don't know about you, but when I finish a run, I turn off my lamp and throw it into my running gear bag. The next time out, I have no idea how much charge is left. This TINMIU feature prevents that mid run no charge left problem. And with two lamps, there is no excuse not to have at least one of them fully charged at all times.

Best headlamps I've owned
I'm an outdoors person spending a lot of time camping, fishing, hunting and river guiding. I put my headlamps through a lot of punishment. I've purchased two sets of these in the past few year and love them. They recharge easily with a solar charger or backup battery. They will work for up to 4-5 hours on a single charge and the on/off button design means they seldom come on in my pack.I did have an issue with one lamp where after a couple years it would no longer charge. I took it apart and found the USB port wiring had become damaged. Like I said, I put my gear through a lot of abuse. Having said this, I've never had any other brand of headlamp more than a single season before tossing.Others regularly comment on the brightness of my headlamps and how long they work between charges. The fact I can recharge them has more than paid for the lamps in the first few weeks of use, and I do not have to carry sets of spare batteries, reducing weigh when backpacking.Note on the motion feature - I do not find this overly useful, but I haven't found a practical use yet for the feature. When in motion detection, large bugs (moths) or tree branches can turn off the light. I find this rather annoying when working my way through the woods or down a mountain trail at night.

Nice beam, Lasts a good while, I use it to make a living and recreation
This is the second set of these lamps that I've purchased. Going on 4 years now and they are still taking a charge and lasting about a good hour on a full charge with highest beam setting. I crawl under houses for a living and need to be able to see. I trust these for that work. I also use these for traversing through the woods at night going to and from hunting spots. Walking and on bike. I'm not sure if the lumen rating is accurate, but I will say for the money paid I'm satisfied and they are sufficient for my uses. Easily charged with a small battery pack carried in my pocket if I need a recharge.

Features outweigh shortcomings.
Overall I'm happy with this light.Pros:. Great range of lighting options. I found the low power flood fine for a clearly-defined trail. If you need a spotlight, it's got one that'll knock your socks off!. Plenty of battery life for my needs.. Costs more than some other brands, but is still a bargain for all the functionality.Cons:. Glitchy going from one lighting mode to another: first click shuts it off; second brings the old mode back; third finally moves to next option. You do get where you want to go eventually.. Headband is quite tight at full extension on my (large but not gigantic) head.. The charging cable is ridiculously short and would have the light hanging in space if I didn't have a male-female USB extension cable. And though I have what seems like dozens of USB cable termination types in my collection, this one's end connection is different from any I've ever seen before (WHY do there need to be so many??).. The documentation is atrocious. Three languages, English, German, and Chinese, are jumbled randomly together. The Specifications chart is blank for English and German so if you really want to know the specs you'll have to learn Chinese. If you decide to wade into the doc, bring a magnifying glass and retire to a room where no one can hear you screaming.. There's supposedly a warranty (18 months), but I could find no contact information for the company or even a company name anywhere. Amazon calls it a TinMiu, but I can't find much but Amazon links if I search for that name. Who actually backs it up if it breaks?
