Unfortunately the 2XL fit perfectly. LOL. I'm 5'6, and 200 plus. Fits great. The nylon material feels heavenly (haven't washed them yet just tried them on when they arrived). They are not for date night. They show visible pantie lines and if you have lumps and bumps they will show through this thin material. So go hiking with someone who already knows you have a lumpy butt and wear panties and they love you anyway. The material feels strong. The velcro pockets are fun--but I imagine whatever is in the pockets will show. My expectation based upon trying them on is that they will be wonderfully cool on a hot summer hike and also good for other exercising. I have a question mark about the snap. But these strike me as the type of shorts that when they wear out you buy another pair and another. It is so hard to buy on line. This one makes me very happy.Update: The tan ones are really the only ones with the lump butt/legs see through issue. The dark ones are not remarkable in that regard. Sitting cross legged in a pair right now and am very comfortable. Held up great after first wash.

Liked everything except fit in the crotch where it was bunching and baggy. Usually like Baleaf products this one just doesn’t happen to be flattering in the front

I LOVE these shorts! I ordered black in XL. I wear a 16 and they fit perfectly! Knee length. Not too big, but roomy and comfortable enough for movement. Flattering- actually make me look slimmer. They are just as described- lightweight, quick drying. Just right for hiking, kayaking, or most any summer activity. Ordering another pair.

I am 5"5' and these shorts cover my knees. They have many pockets and ties at the bottom to tighten (and make shorter). The fabric is slick which wouldn't have been my first choice, but they are water repellent.There is an elastic band at the back, so they fit nicely against your waist.I like to travel w/ them for biking, hiking. Also, I walk a lot and this length allows a little sun on your legs. They are just the right length as I wanted a longer short that would hide my knees!!.

I received these today and wore them to jog alongside my 9yr old son who was riding his bike. I also wore them to play tennis. I love them! I was trying to find a pair of long sport shorts-that I could run, walk or hike in. These are great. Lightweight-water resistant and stretchy! I bought the medium-5'3" 135 lbs-pear shape-athletic-great for curvy fit-when I bend down or squat I don't have to worry about coverage. I will buy in multiple colors-Happy Customer!

My new favorite shorts. These are comfortable, relaxed fit, has a waist that goes up to my waist with elastic on sides giving me room to move and play golf without a tight fit. I do not have a flat tummy and the elastic is perfect for my body shape. I ordered another pair, wish more colors were available. Deep pockets in front. These come to my knees, I am 5 feet 1 inch.Us matronly shaped women do not like belly flopping over the low riding waist lines with tiny draw strings. These shorts are made like women's clothes use to be! Thank you Bayleaf!

These shorts are really soft and lightweight but durable. I wore them frequently on a trip to Kenya last month and was really happy with the comfy "not tight; not too loose" fit; perfect for all kinds of adventures.

I'm 5'11" and 250 lbs. In other Baleaf products 2XL fits well. I have several pairs of leggings and a few tops from them.These shorts have a 14" inseam (hip to hem is 26") so these hit me BELOW the knee (and I have fairly long legs). Not a huge deal, but not what I was expecting from the photos. Their model must have insanely long legs for these to hit her right at/slightly above the knee. OR, they added length for the plus-sizes (??).The waist is fairly loose. I don't know if you can tell from the photos but there is quite a bit of fabric around the abdomen. Enough so that the waist is an inch or so higher in the front. When I sit down there is a fistful of excess fabric in the abdomen. If I had a bigger stomach I think they'd fit better. As is, I find I am slightly tugging up the waist at the sides as they ride down due to the looseness, which makes the bottom hem look uneven.The fabric is thin. There are good-sized pockets, but anything you put in them will show through the fabric clearly.The quality is good and, with a shirt pulled down over the waist they look okay. I never wear a shirt tucked in so I'm going to keep them as I really need hiking shorts. Finding plus-size outdoor athletic shorts that hit at the knee (or below in this instance) is really hard unless I get bicycle shorts.Already thinking I may try to open the waistband and shorten the amount of elastic so they fit better at the waist. Won't fix the baggy/excess fabric in the abdomen, but that's not noticeable with my shirt pulled down.
