I think it's 2 in a box, if I remember right. But, I won't buy these again. They do NOT last long before they fall apart.

Can I use this on plastic without leaving scratches?

It would depend on the type of plastic and how it is finished. But one of the best things about Scrub Daddy is, if you put it in cold water, it is very stiff and "scratchy" but soaked in soft water, it is very soft - using it wit hot would perhaps work better on a soft surface.

Can scrub daddy be found in stores?

Yes it can. Many stores carry it. Target & wWalmart both as well as several grocery stores.
