Rusts too easily.

A knifes job is to cut stuff. A good knifes job is to cut a lot of stuff without needing to be sharpened, and that's what these are. These don't have the most ergonomic handles, or sexy profiles of modern expensive kitchen knives. What they do have is thin 1095 carbon steel blades. The steel and blade profiles that have been being used in quality kitchen knives for over 100 years. These require a little more maintenance than the more modern exotic steel knives, but they cut stuff just as well. They hold an edge longer and sharpen easier than most exotic steel knives in my opinion. I own a few $$$ knives, but find myself using these more than those.

I haven't bought knives that cost more than 20$ for a set plus a block until now. So I think these are doing great. I haven't seen any problems thus far.

Was disappointed in the quality of the grips. Rough, not finished.

Oxidation after one use. Not as sharp as I thought they would be. Cheap packaging. I had higher expectations for this set. Not impressed and not worth the price.

the steel is a bit thinner than those of my Great grandma,grandma and mom but still lots nicer than the cheap crap
