This pen filler is excellent for men's eyebrows too. As I've gotten older it seems that I may have lost some hair and thickness on both of my eyebrows. I often filled those areas with a women's black brow pencil to fill in those bare and spotting zones. I purchased this grooming filler on a whim, and it really does work better than those pencils. A small amount in those bare areas goes a long way, Once I sweep the brow with the brush on the opposite end everything is filled and the rest is blended through. It looks very natural, and not over exaggerated. The color looks very natural, and it washes off in the shower. I use it daily, and the price is excellent for two fillers.

The beard pen filler does a great job filling in patchy spots and giving my beard a fuller, sharper look. The color matches well and lasts throughout the day without smudging, especially when used with the included brush. It's a game changer for photos or when I want a cleaner appearance. My only reason for 4 stars is that it takes a bit of practice to apply naturally—too much and it can look drawn-on. Once you get the hang of it, though, it’s a solid grooming tool

First off, I was beyond excited to use this product. Had very high hopes for it after seeing the positive reviews. However I am now convinced the people who love it have exceedingly low standards. This product simply does not work. What I mean is, it is literally an extremely fragile grease pencil that doesn’t do anything different than a grease pencil you could buy at staples. It doesn’t work to darken a beard, and the little brush that is attached to it is simply pointless. It doesn’t do anything at all to the grease from the pen and It looks laughably obvious that you have drawn all over your face with this thing. So essentially 1. It is freakishly fragile 2. Doesn’t do anything, the grease itself from the pencil is so faint and light that it does nothing but make the light patch you were trying to fix even MORE obvious. 3. The little brush is simply a gimmick, it doesn’t do a thing. If I could leave no stars I would. Just a dumb product.

I have a patchy beard and i was looking for a way to make it look fuller. I stumbled upon this beard pen and i was like duh! Why didn't I think of this. PROS - Very easy to use - The brush helps in blending to make it look more natural. - Seems to be water resistant. CONS - It doesn't seem to last very long. Within an hour or two it begins to fade especially near places on my face where there is less hair. - This seems to be a glorified eyebrow pencil but not as long lasting. I personally wouldn't buy this again. I've tried a traditional eyebrow pencil and that seems to work better and last longer. And I think a black ice barber pencil will probably work better and last longer. I used a white one with a stencil to help me trim my beard. And removing that white pencil marking took so much effort. So I figured the black pencil would be perfect for filling my beard and be more long lasting. If you're in a pinch this beard pencil is okay. But I think you're better off with traditional eye brow pencils or barber ice pencil for longer lasting effect. Product works very well to cover greys in your beard as a "quick fix" when you don't want to dye your beard. Lately, there has been an uptick in severe allergic reactions to many commercial men's hair coloring products, and this provides a safer, non-toxic solution to that. It's recommended that you do a quick allergy test (mark a little on your cheek or under your chin...leave it for about 5 mins), but I have never had any allergic reaction to this product, and I have recommended it to several friends who have also never had any issue with it. The pen is very easy to use, and the cost is economical once you put it against in-store retail. You will like the way it makes you look, and can look very natural, and help give even 'patchy' beards the look of fullness. A few precautions: Careful when wearing light or white colored shirts. While the pen is waterproof and largely sweat proof, it can somewhat stain lighter clothing. It washes out, but still it's best not to chance it if you have a job interview, or are going to some kind of function. When using, careful not to turn it too far and extend the tip, as it could break if you put too much pressure on it. Best to twist it slowly and reveal a smaller section of the tip. Then lightly apply and follow up with brushing. Overall very satisfied with this system.

Excellent product overall. I started by ordering one in two colors (light + medium brown) and settled on medium. Reordered, then ordered and 3 pack… now 6 months in a get a 5 pack anytime I get down to one. Product doesn’t wear off though the day, and doesn’t have that awful drawn on “inky” tone to it. It fills in the thinner spots on my beard nicely and my eyebrows look great with just one quick swipe. Important to note 1- you beard and skin have to be totally dry (use a blowdryer) 2- apply product and blend in the direction your hair grows. I take about 3 minutes to apply and blend in perfectly everyday. Don’t rush it. 3- I finish off the blend with a black nail brush. It came with the original follicle booster kit. Perfect for blending everything together and into your sideburn as well. Finally, I think it’s very important to note- I have a nice beard. It’s really for a few spots to take it from great to perfect. If you’re very patchy then it might to be right for you.

First off, The pens work well. If you use it correctly and carefully you can really fill in most spots in your beard. I had dark brown pens and after using the brush I thought it blended in pretty well. A somewhat big drawback though is it wears off easily/quickly so you have about 4-6 hours of optimal results (basically lasts a work day/event. There are two even bigger drawbacks though. One is how brittle the point is on the pen. I broke the point several times and I wasn't even using more than 1/8 of it at any point in time. Given how little pen you start off with that's a huge deal. The biggest thing is the cost. As of writing this, 4/18/23, the cost of a pen varies between $10-$15 a piece, depending how many you buy at once. For most people that's probably gonna be just one or two pens. With each pen you have about roughly an inch and a quarter of the filling to use. Since the amount of beard pen you have is very little, if you break it that makes it harder to justify buying these often. Given it's very high cost I would say this is reserved for special occasions. The cost could definitely come down several dollars and maybe even half off honestly. I would only really recommend this to people that are desperate
