Great gift in box, less frizz, fewer breakouts, longer lasting Brazilian blowouts
These are such a nice gift! This one comes in a very presentable gift box with a protective cleaning case for the washing machine. I always hand-wash mine, though. The box has a magnetic closure and is very classy with a discount card inside for your next order. Havenโt seen any wearing down of it yet but weโll see with time. I got white and it can be hard to get stains out but thatโs ok. It stays quite white for the most part. Iโve had other brands and this one seems to be the best quality with a nice soft feel that I like. My hair has less tangles and my Brazilian blowout lasts longer. In hot phoenix summers it feels cool on my face when I sleep. I have also had less clogged pores. Iโve had color ones and the white is the best for quality, sensitive skin and non dye transfer issues like I have had with dark green, etc. I love these. People may not immediately be excited for a pillowcase gift, and they may not realize the cost and luxuriousness of them, but when they finally have one, theyโll realize they have attained the missing key to life. Silk pillowcases! Get one for your mom or yourself or someone with frizzy hair, sensitive skin, allergies, pimples or wrinkles. Youโll love it.

Authentic silk product, great customer service & tip on how to wash
This is my second silk pillowcase purchase, as I want to rotate pillowcases when one is being soaked and later hand-washed (details below). My first purchase was a 22 momme silk pillowcase from another reputable company and seller on Amazon, Colorado Home Co. I inquired with Fishers Finery customer service on Amazon and they quickly responded with a friendly reply. This, my second silk pillowcase purchase on Amazon, was the 25 momme, white (undyed), pillowcase from Fishers Finery. This product is truly authentic, 100% silk. The quality and softness are superb. The packaging for this item is a very pleasant, big & stiff square, dark blue colored paperboard. If you buy their 30 momme silk pillowcase it comes in an even nicer packaging, a dark black, cardboard box with their company signature on top. Note, generally speaking, the nicer the packaging, the more you pay for the silk pillowcase product-- in fact, it can increase the price of the product by $15 to $20 approximately when you purchase a silk pillowcase that comes in a nice gift box. TIP on HOW TO WASH this item: Have a couple of silk pillowcases so you can rotate them when one is being washed as I describe here: a. Do not machine wash or machine dry. b. If there are any stains, use Ecover Stain Remover liquid (6.8 oz), available on Amazon and at grocery stores like Natural Grocers. Simply thoroughly spot dab the Ecover liquid stain remover on all stains. I had some blood stains on my other silk pillowcase (from Colorado Home Co.) due to a scab that broke on my head. I was worried the blood stain would not come out. I soaked the Ecover liquid stain remover on the pillowcase for 24hrs. c. Then, fill a bucket full of cool to warm water and a liquid detergent for delicate items (made for wool or silk). Not marketed as a detergent in this case, but I used Soapnut shampoo (unscented) soap that I purchased from an Amazon seller called Nature Sustained. Any Soapnut shampoo, body wash, or detergent (all are sold online or in some health food stores), are basically all the same and can be interchanged to cleanse your body, hair, or fabric (clothing or bedding). 100% pure Soapnut shampoo/liquid soap is very gentle but effective, as well as chemical free and very environmentally friendly. For some reason, as of 10/2022, it is very hard to find 100% pure Soapnut shampoo/soap (containing only Soapnut liquid and natural preservative) on Amazon or online. d. I then placed the silk pillowcase in the bucket of water, and I gently hand washed for about a minute. Then I let it soak for 24 hours. After 24 hours, I hand washed again for about a minute. Then I emptied the bucket of water and filled with clean water and rinsed the pillowcase in this manner. I then hung the silk pillowcase to dry over a wooden rack. You may also lay it flat to dry on a towel on a counter. The result? All the blood stains came out and there were no wrinkles (of course pillowcase was not as flat looking as when new). RE: Temperature Regulation-- I purchased this item as my body runs hot and thus, I also sleep hot. So, I needed a temperature regulating fabric in order to sleep better. Sleeping on a silk pillowcase does not cure all one's sleeping hot woes. However, it certainly was palpable in that the silk pillowcase did indeed reduce warmth. I cannot afford silk sheets at the moment, but having at least a silk pillowcase is the most important in order to reduce heat in the head area. A much less expensive (less than half the price), but very effective alternative to silk sheets, in order to sleep cooler, is 100% Egyptian Cotton sheets. So, I purchased this on Amazon: "Pure Parima Luxury 100% CEA Certified Egyptian Cotton Sheet Bed Set | Extra-Long Staple | Cool, Breathable, Ultra Comfort | Double Hem-Stitched | Flat, Fitted, and 2 Pillow Cases". These sheets did the trick and I sleep cooler. Another alternative is "Everhome Egyptian Cotton 700-Thread-Count sheet" available at your local and online bed and bath store. I am very pleased with this purchase and I can't wait to buy another 100% pure silk pillowcase from Fishers Finery. This item is "Practical Perry" approved. ; )

Perfect...well worth the money.
These pillowcases are so soft. I have a hand wash cycle on my washer so I put them in the mesh bags they came with and everything was fine. They fit the pillows as they should. They also help my hair be less of a mess in the morning. I like them so much I bought more sets. They are packaged beautifully.

Soft & silky
Update: 07/2026. I've now had these cases for about 3 1/2 years and they have held up tremendously. Still soft and color still exact as when 1st arrived. I always hand wash my cases in a little bit of Woolight and hang dry indoors. If you are going to buy real silk pillowcases you need to be willing to hand waxh w/a gently detergent approved for silk or you're just wasting your $$. Do not put in washer it will degrade the silk and they will eventually tear. I still highly recommend these. I researched silk pillowcases and this company and these pillowcases kept coming up at the top of their lists so I chose to buy them...Yes they are pricey but I've bought the cheaper ones and let me tell you you will feel the difference. I chose to hand wash then (used a little woolight) and layed flat to dry...My first night sleeping on them I knew right off the bat they are good quality silk and felt so nice against my facial skin, I didn't get hot at all while sleeping and each morning I wake with no pillowcase creases on my face and my hair is not a messy bed head look...Do they work f9r wrinkles? I don't know..but that is the claim of sleeping on silk...I definetly will never buy the $15.$20 "silk" pillowcases again...Love these so far..hope they hold up...If I think of it in 6 months I'll update on their longevity

Wonderfully silky to sleep on
Wonderfully silky to sleep on. Love the pocket closure rather than a zipper, and overall quality is super.

Beautiful silk pillowcase
I gave my grandson and his wife a set of these silk pillowcases. I had previously purchased one for myself. We all love the feel, look, and easy care. They are elegant and well-made. There is a fold-over closing rather than a zipper which is much nicer and will not be problematic later on. Well worth the cost for this lovely product.

Actually helps hair, easier to care for than most report, has the basic Pros/Cons of silk
This is actually amazing for your hair. I got a really good Black Friday deal, and I needed new pillowcases anyway, so, I thought, why not silk? After some research, I decided on this pillowcase as the best intersection of price and reported quality. It has been great for my hair. Until I bought this, I didn't realize how much my hair was affected by my linens. Silk pillowcases don't magically prevent bedhead waves and tangles, they prevent the roughing up of the hair. Imagine- if you rubbed a piece of string between two pieces of charmeuse silk, the string would tangle, but it wouldn't fray or frizz. That's the benefit to your hair. Warning: KNOW WHAT YOU ARE BUYING. Silk, any silk, does stain easily. Natural fibers uptake color changing agents well, but with cotton you can wash and bleach the hell out of it. You can't with linen and REALLY can't with silk- especially if you want to maintain the texture. Also, just like human hair, brightly colored dye will leak off when you wash it. Man made materials, like polyester, have dye chemically bonded to the strands, if you DIY it you have to buy special dye. If you did that to silk, it would degrade the fibers. Finally, natural fibers breath more easily than plastic ones of a similar weave density (I think the people who complain about that are actually reacting to their pillow, not the case), but, they hold bacteria better. Wash you linens frequently or you will break out. I'm familiar with washing silk and the vagaries of texture that can occur. I'm also lazy and dislike hand-washing. I wash the pillowcases inside-out (so the smooth surfaces touch only each other), on delicate, warm/cold or cold/cold with no spin if possible, otherwise on low spin. Spin is more important than heat in maintaining texture/fiber integrity (you make felt by not just hot-washing wool, but rubbing it vigorously). Heat affects shape/weave formation, why clothes shrink in hot water or lose their shape. If other garments are in that load, I put the cases in the extra-fine mesh bag I also use for hand-knit lace (still inside-out). I press the moisture out with a towel, then lay flat or hang to dry from clothespins. Laying flat on ventilated surface works best. All that may sound complicated, but it boils down the machine wash, dry flat. DON'T use fabric softener, it just coats the fibers or even damages them just like hair "relaxer". DO use enzyme based cleaning agents. If the pillowcase feels sticky/stiff, obviously you are not getting the soap out. This can happen when you avoid agitation. Just give it a quick rinse in the sink, then dry it again.

huge disappointment
I purchased specifically for a skin problem and found it a complete waste of money. Did not work for me and regret the exorbitant cost which I splurged after weeks of soul-searching. M.E.
