My daughter loves this one
My teen (14) is 5'8" so more of a young adult but many of the adult mouth guards are way too bulky (and the juniors too small) and big and you end up trimming them (and then they don't fit well, or you cut too much). We bought this one first at Dick's and then she lost hers at a tournament so we bought 2 more on Amazon (better price as well) and we'll keep one spare. It's a slim, tight fit, doesn't require hot water (which she hates) so it's easier to fit well and since it's a firmer material it keeps the shape much better. It's a new favorite and the only type she'll wear.

For boxing
Overall I think it works perfectly fine for its price. I've used it a few times now for sparring and it does what it needs to do. After reading some reviews, I was a little concerned about destroying it during the fitting process so I took a more cautious approach. I'm not certain but I think the heat strip will indicate the needed 150 degree temperature even if it's above 150. So I opted to keep adding small amounts of room temp water until it looked like it was closer to 140. I think if the water is too hot, you run the risk of damaging it. It didn't say to, but I flossed and brushed my teeth before fitting. Just follow the instructions and it should create a tight fit. Mine sticks just fine and I have to actually pull it off my teeth to disconnect it. My only complaint is that the picture made it look like the white one (adult, strapless) did not have the orange logo on it, but it does.

Good, easy fit for youth mouth
Discouraged after buying 2 clear plastic mouth guards that didn't mold correctly after pulling out of 'hot' water (even though followed instructions), I was willing to pay a bit more to try these. So glad I did. Since the water doesn't need to reach boiling, these didn't get too soft. My 10 yr old was able to tolerate the warmed mouth guard, place in her mouth and get a comfortable fit (without the mouthguard getting distorted while pulling out of the water). After being cooled, they don't stick to her teeth like her retainer, but they certainly don't fall out. She now wears them for skating, basketball, and taekwondo. So glad they worked so we wouldn't have to get a custom fit mouthguard. Before molding, I had my 13 yr old daughter try these to see if the size would also be good for her since adult mouthguards tend to be too big. She said the size felt comfortable and would be good for her as well. Definitely getting another.

Doesn't fit right, poor customer service
Followed the instructions, but had a few problems.1. It didn't quite conform to the shape of my teeth.2. Because it's hard plastic (instead of a softer material), it feels like you're biting a wall. It doesn't feel cushioned.3. I could really feel where one bottom tooth was pressing into the plastic. You can see that as the white spot in the picture.4. The company just ignores e-mails. Spent a LONG time waiting for someone on the phone for help with a question. He said he'd call me back, but never did.

Great mouth guard for BJJ
I bought another guard and didn't like the fit. My other one was way too bulky. This is a GREAT mouth guard. It was a breeze to fit, and the breathing holes really come in handy. 10/10 will be buying again when I need another one.

Destroyed during fitting process
A temperature strip is provided to help you gauge water during the fitting process. You’re told to wait until the temperature is just below the 150 mark...well, I was boiling water and the strip never showed more than 130, which I thought was odd but I followed the directions and melted the mouth guard down. Waste of $20.

It tends to slip down off of his teeth but otherwise it is comfortable and protects his teeth
Bought this for our 10yo son who tends to be on the small side. We tried a different brand youth size rigid type first but he couldn’t even close his mouth over it. This one was the same size front to back and side to side but shorter from top to bottom (gum line to bottom of tooth). It took a couple of tries but we were able to mold this one to fit reasonably well. It tends to slip down off of his teeth but otherwise it is comfortable and protects his teeth.

not a fan.
I wanted a new mouth guard with a little more breathability and comfort so I got this one. it is not that great. fitting it is hard, if the water is to hot it shrinks, not hot enough it wont form right.once you get it fit it just dose not have very good comfort. it took a lot of adjusting to make ti work alright and just overall was not what I was hoping for hockey.

Don’t waste your money.
Do not buy this product. The moulding process is complex and requires the precision of a brain surgeon and even then... the product is bulky and uncomfortable. Be very careful not to exceed 150 degrees when moulding because it’s absolutly ruined after that. Even if you keep the temperature under 150 degrees as instructed... the plastic is very difficult to moulding and shape. Don’t waste you money.

A good buy for basketball players
Bought this after almost chipping a tooth in a basketba game. Great thing for all bball players to use. Teeth are expensive to fix so this is a great investment and fit me well. 6'1" male

Fake pictures.
The picture one does not show that the mouth guard actually has "shock" in huge black letters across the front.

Don’t recommend. Inconsistent instructions
The instructions weren’t clear and were different to online. The mouth guard wouldn’t mould to the teeth. After numerous attempts following instructions, we put it in boiling water and they buckled. Had to throw them away. Do not recommend
