WOW !!! What a Powerhouse Vacuum.... this thing really grabs the debris.. I Like it... and the price was lowered for Black Friday.. all the Better...

PROS: This vacuum sucks. Hehe. In reality it seems very well built, metal handle and roller. The cable is thick and very long. It is probably the strongest vacuum I've used; I've used commercial vacuums in my work. Hopefully it doesn't crap out. If you need something to clean carpet, this is it. Seems like it's built to last. CONS It is heavy compared to it's modern counterparts, taking it up and down stairs might be hard for some people. It won't fit under a table or couch, no attachments or hoses for corners, but the suction is great. It's pretty loud, so if you live in an apartment it's probably best to use it during the day.

My carpets are so clean, everything can be worked on and repaired via flat head screw driver.

Great product

For cleaning a church, I've used these vacuum cleaners for years and the pictures that were presented with purchase options were not the same as what I thought I was receiving. I would have gladly paid the extra 50 bucks to get what I was after. The quick access to replace the fan has proven to be the best vacuum. I pictures showed this stile, but all 3 where the ones you have to remove the top, and moter to get at the fan.

Works great

The belt broke first time within about a minute and had to replace it and then the power (on/off button) broke off. A piece of crap.

I work at a golf course with multiple event rooms that need to be vacuumed multiple times per week and we previously owned 2 of the heavy duty, all metal SC886G models until our maintenance man threw them out because they weren't working at the time because he did not realize how cheap the replacement parts cost!! So we had to start over with all new vacuums and I purchased this 1 first to see if there was a noticeable difference between this one (SC684G) and the all metal model (SC886G). The main difference is the hood and power button on the 684G are plastic where the hood and power button are metal on the 886G and at first it didn't seem like a huge difference but it turns out this model is much less durable than the 886G. The switch for the power button stopped working less than 6 weeks after buying it!! I bought a new switch for $10 and changed it myself but I am worried that this vacuum is going to have problems with the power button and electrical switch breaking and needing to be replaced every so often. As soon as it broke, I ordered one of the 886G models. I got lucky and found a refurbished one being sold by Amazon so I paid the same price the 886G that I paid for the 684G but I would have paid full price for a new 886G if the refurbished one wasn't available. I highly recommend spending the extra $80 to get the all metal 886G instead of this 684G.

Still working after a few months of heavy use in a store with high traffic. Not bad at all
