The container is glass so I would imagine that you could place/heat it in the microwave as long as you remove the top pouring piece. This is a great set, I love and use it daily!!

Q: Can this be used for honey?

Only if the honey is in syrup form. I don't recommend for more solid form. Cleaning is easy though.
