I unintentionally over processed my hair recently and was so distressed with the lifeless, straw like hair. I tried everything from high end hair products, but no significant improvement. This shampoo with the conditioner, mask and oil I purchased, after two uses, my hair returned to its healthy, soft and smooth condition! Totally recommend

It was good but not perfect

When I first used this shampoo, there was zero lather (bubbles/suds). I had to look at the bottle to make sure I was using shampoo. So I rinsed, lathered again and did get some sides the second time around, but still very limited compared to most other shampoos. I used to work for Aveda and I learned there that suds/lather is actually added to shampoos to make the consumer feel like their hair is getting clean, so know that just because it's not lathering a lot, doesn't mean it isn't getting your hair clean. It is a little disconcerting at first if you're not expecting it, but now you know. The shampoo is a "repair" shampoo - and again, my time with Aveda tells me that this usually means there is protein added to the shampoo for damaged hair, typically damaged from heat styling and processing/coloring. In my opinion, shampoos are often difficult to evaluate because the result of your hair is dependent on the conditioner, mask, or products you use after the shampoo. This shampoo does smell nice. The scent is not "amazing", but it's clean, fresh (maybe slightly floral?) and not overpowering. I used the shampoo with the repair mask (more protein) and loved the results and how my hair felt afterwards. I've had the opportunity to try several of Lazartigue's products as a Vine member and so far, they are all top-notch. The Nourish mask is insanely good - smells odd, but performance is 100/100. I love my Oribe, Moroccan Oil and R+Co Bleu for their aromas, but so far, Lazartigue has them all beat on performance. Also, I contacted Lazartigue directly because it looked like a couple of people wondered if these products were legit. They wrote back and said that if purchased through their Amazon Store (I believe it actually reads, "Visit the Lazartigue Store"), they are 100% real Lazartigue products. ~Amy

I will say that I think some other reviewers have misunderstood the use of this product possibly. Looks just like the pics, mine arrived with no issues. Used last night for the first time. One thing to NOTE, I used to use ola-cough-plex quite a bit back when I was coloring my hair often, and tbh this reminds me *A LOT* of that, just at a bit of a lower price point (as of this review it's $2.00 less an ounce-for the travel size I received. If you go bigger, e.g. the 16.9oz which I'll be buying and IT'S ALREADY IN MY CART, it's even MORE of a price difference, about $7.00 less an ounce). YAYYY! So yes I was paying for that because it was worth it. Every penny. This makes my hair feel the EXACT.same.way, so soft and healthy, no frizz, shiny, just awesome. Pleasant v.light scent as well. I haven't colored my hair in quite some time, but for every day use, you can get a good bit of use out of this, despite its small size. Because I am just repairing split ends and v.frequent use of my chi hair tool, and it's not damaged from coloring or bleaching, it's not necessary to use it more than about once a week, based on my frequency with other said similar product. And I have about average length hair too, about midway down my back, for reference. So after last night's use, I still have quite a bit left in the bottle. This is a friggin STEAL in the larger 16.9 ounce for what it does. Excellent hair self care at a great price point, yes please!!

When I see "repair" claims on hair products I am a huge skeptic because I know that hair can not be regenerated once it has grown out of the head. I have been using this Lazartigue Repair Shampoo for over 2 months and the bottle is nearly empty. During the first few weeks to one month I can't say that I noticed a big difference. My hair still shed a lot in the shower and it seemed like the shampoo was changing the texture of my hair a little. I wouldn't call it a smoothing shampoo at all. If anything, it might be a little drying. I honestly didn't mind that because my hair is so fine that I liked the little bit of volume it was giving me (I don't use hair conditioners aside from an occasional hair mask.) By day-3 of unwashed hair, I did notice it seemed smoother and I could go an extra day between washes if I wanted to. Ok, so 2+ months later I am noticing that my hair is shedding a LOT less. I don't understand how it's working but something is happening. Maybe it's simply the fact that it's paraben/sulfate/phthalate/silicone-free? I'm thinking it might be working at the scalp-level and is getting rid of some of the buildup caused by my previous products. When I apply it in the shower I do let it sit on my scalp for a few minutes before rinsing. The instructions don't say to do this but I am getting good results using this method. The shampoo does foam up a little bit so it's easy to spread around. I wouldn't call it a lather, it's a very faint foam. I love the smell and wish it was stronger because I can't really smell it once my hair is dry. I would buy this shampoo again but I'm crossing my fingers for a sale because it is pricey. The bottle will last me 3+ months easily since I don't shampoo every day.

Don't get me wrong, it's a very small size. More like the size gel or hair cream comes in, not shampoo. But this stuff is serious business! There is probably 5 hair washes in this small size. It didn't foam up easily at first and I needed to wash it a second time. But my hair is soooo soft and feels revived. Yes, it is expensive. And there's no safety seal. But this is a phenomenal product. After 1 use I can see that.

Le pongo todas las estrellas más que nada porque mi dermatóloga de confianza me recomendó comprarlo, en mi caso que tengo alopecia por genética mi cabello se adelgaza y engrosa cada ciertos meses y este shampoo hizo que por lo menos el adelgazamiento tardara el doble de tiempo. Es amistoso por lo menos con mi piel y huele agradable.

Buena consistencia y si deja suave y manejable el cabello, ideal para posteriora teñirse o decolorarse el cabello. Fórmula vegana, muy buena
