Ever have a clogged sink spigot? Or water running too slowly from your sink? Or just replacing a new spigot in your kitchen or bathroom? BINGO . . . here's the tool to finish off the installation. Usually not included with a new spigot, these little "keys" grip onto the grooves in the spigot screen and allow you to easily twist off the old fitting and install the new one quickly and easily. We live in an area of "hard water" and these little "keys" help us to remove the little crystals that load up in the spigot screens that slow down the water flow. Crazy, huh? Perfect for various sizes of aerator removal. Some new fixtures come with the individual key and some do not. Great to have a set for when removal is needed to clean an aerator which should really be performed when installing a new fixture or when may become clogged with pipe sediments or lime build up. Be sure to use the correct size and apply firm pressure when trying to loosen; use other hand and apply slight pressure down on spout as to not damage you fixture while apply upward pressure to the key tool as your twist to remove. If the aerator is getting worn or slots to remove getting worn or stripping, replace it with a new one to prevent future issues. Great little tool set !

I couldn’t use them they were the wrong size, not their fault. A plastic clip/ring was supposed to be included but it wasn’t. The product was shipped and arrived in a timely manner. Looks solid and should do the job.

I looked for the aerator keys at my local major hardware stores and none of them had them. I even tried a plumbing distributor and they didn't have them. Shipping was in a timely manner. The key worked like a charm on the restroom aerator, just need to have a little of patience and look on the side to work off the aerator. The price is also great for all four keys. I was going to pay the same for just one key and now I am set for when I upgrade the kitchen faucet.

Bought these keys to use on multiple faucets in the house. Running water was coming out really slow on one of the bathroom Moen faucets, which made me to believe there was a clog in the aerator. I was able to use one of the keys to unscrew the aerator off. Long and behold it was clogged with mineral buildup. I was able to unscrew other faucets (kitchen & bathroom / Delta & Moen) and clean out all the aerators. In short, I can use 2 out of the 4 supplied keys, which makes it a great buy!

As hard as it is for a hardware store employee to believe, there are standard sizes for embedded aerators, and they're not proprietary to specific manufacturers. This set has all 4 of those sizes. Buy them now, keep them somewhere safe, and you'll never have to go through the process you're going through now ever again.

When I opened the bag, I was dumbstruck by how flimsy these were. "As thin as an eggshell," I thought. So I actually cracked open an egg for comparison: 22 thousandths of an inch. The thinnest of these measured a marginally thicker 38 thousandths, still a cruel joke. Somewhere a bean-counter who's never had to use one of these is laughing himself hoarse. So I spent twenty cents less for the competing "Cache Plus Faucet Aerator Key and Removal Wrench Tool" which, while still plastic, is significantly beefier: The thinnest-wall size was still 58 thousandths thick, 52% thicker. While not quite a tool you can count on leaving to your grandson, it's more likely to survive a couple dozen faucet screen cleanings. Mine made short work of the nine screens in my house last evening. Don't waste your time with this dime-store reject.
