I bought this recently to go with my electric powered car. I leave it out in the driveway so it is in the right place for easy access for the charger cable. Seems to be pretty rugged as it gets driven over by the car occasionally. Single channel for the cable is better than the dual channel version as it allows a bit more space for a thick 7KW cable and easy to lay the cable. Bright colour is helpful for visitors to the house. There are some comments from people about the strong rubber smell but as it is left out permanently that is not and issue for me. Very quick delivery for this item.

Does what it says and is perfect for our needs

DO NOT BRING INDOORS, it reeks of rubber for at least 4 months.You've been warned & I'm not over-exaggerating.5 stars for design & price.4 stars for overall quality.Rubber smell aside, this is a fantastic product, and extra low profile, reducing the chance of pedestrians tripping. Overall very good value & highly recommended (if you are prepared to leave it outside, or in the garage)Tips:1. Upon receiving delivery, open it outside, leave it outside, and discard the smelly box.2. Washing it makes no difference, I've also tried soaking it in fabric softener & car wash overnight - no difference, still sticks just as bad.3. Leaving it outside for 4-6 months is the only way to remove the smell.

Well made, exactly as described, precisely manufactured (no flash/voids etc) weighty enough to be stable without being overly heavy or bendy, effective "hatch" for the cable run, safe and avoids trip hazards or damage to the cable or cable attachments/fittingsThe cable run channel is exactly the right height to enclose an electric vehicle charging cable, protecting the cable's coating from chafing on a rough surface or damage from being trodden on by pedestrians.

Really good, sturdy product. The yellow lid does not clip in so need to make sure you cable is not linked. An agree with others, the smell is strong, but for me it’s outside so it’s ok.

Great cable protector, but wow does it smell like rubber/burnt plastic. I assume it's some property of the hardened material it's made from, as it's very sturdy, but you really don't want this anywhere near your house.

It is stronger than I expected. Bought another one as it was so good.
