I thought it tasted good. A little chewier than I expected. My Hawaiian friend swears by these. I guess it's a childhood thing in Hawaii.

Q: I bought the same brand in maui and i loved it; not salty. the same brand strawberry belts on amazon are really salty! does anyone else agree?

I don't recall seeing this brand in Hawaii, so I cannot compare. Li Hing Mui is typically a combination of sweet, salt and bitter. Interestingly, I read the package. The listing of ingredients do not include the word "Strawberry." The brand name is "Asia Trans." And, despite the fact that the advertisement says it is "Packed Fresh in Hawaii." the package says that is is a product of Spain. So the Asia Trans Strawberry Belts have no strawberry and are a product of Spain. Go figure. They are still more addictive than crack.

Q: are these supposed to be spicey ish? like the mexican candy?

They are kinda like the Mexican candy which is why I like them so much. Spicy-ish but more on the sweet side. They are so addicting, I can eat the whole bag without putting it down. Mouth watering. Yuuum!!!!

Q: How do these taste compare to the candyout sour candy belts?

They are similar but have Li Hing Mui Powder on it. It's a sweet and tangy plum powder.
