Worked great in my old laptop. Other hard drive stopped working.

I had my ps4 since 2017 brand new no problems what so ever all of sudden in 2023 my game has been crashing even the games especially gta 5 I initialize atleast 40 times this whole year in 2024 did everything even call playstation support still no help But I read about the situation on YouTube an Google its the hard driver doing the errors but so far it's been running very smooth no problems yet. I just put some pictures and music on the drive after I installed it and used it very lightly. After about 2 months, I just happened to run a drive check utility one day and it shows that the drive is failing with multiple bad sector counts. I did run the same utility the day I installed it to check its health and it was in good standing. So this drive I got did indeed started failing in just 2 months, right after the return window expired...

Showed up fast! Didn’t like the fact it was shipped in a practice bubble envelope alone and out of box. One bump away from making it worthless but nonetheless it arrived on time. Was used to upgrade ps3 which is dated of course but works fine and speed difference is noticeable on all apps.

I bought this for a ps3 I got on marketplace. This is what you need to get it to work. A USB drive formatted to FAT32. Make a folder PS3. Put a folder inside that called UPDATE. download the latest update from Sony. 4.91. Drop it in the update folder and plug that into the ps3. Go into ps3 safe mode and select software update. Works like a charm.

My son's ps4 went bad and when we called for repair, they told us over $160. My husband decided to go with this hard drive and after following the easy instructions, the ps4 is back to normal. The hardest part of the installation was trying to get the screws to fall into the holes of the new hard drive, and that didn't last more than a few minutes. In other words, anyone can do this. We highly recommend this product. So we saved money, and my husband came out looking like "Super Dad". Now if I could only get him to help me with the laundry...

This hard drive was easy to install and the PS4 slim without any issues at all. It did not need any formatting as the console does it automatically. Works perfectly and now I have more room than before.

Excellent, did the job and my ps3 is now 1TB. If you change your HDD on your ps3 and your disc drive starts failing, go into settings and reset the consoles settings. Factory reset alone doesn't work, something for the blueray must get stored somewhere as you will also need to reset the system settings.
