Review: Epson ink is worth every penny! - I'm an analyst in the print industry and semi-pro photographer, so I know the importance of good ink. Toner, IMO, is not a big deal but ink is. I've been buying off-brand toner for 15 years. But ink matters. Epson is one of the only companies making inkjet printers that also has reasonably priced ink. About the same price as desertcart. Is the off-brand stuff cheaper? Yeah a few dollars, but not the 4-8X difference between name-brand ink or toner and the after-market stuff (both are just ground-up plastic). So I pony up the difference (maybe $15 for all 6 inks my printer needs) and do so knowing the prints --some of which I sell-- will last a long time and the color will be right. Plus, Epson print heads are piezo-electric, so they hold up and don't need constant replacing. The other companies use thermal heads that come each batch of ink--which is one reason the inks cost so much. I've gone over a year without printing on one Epson and it was fine. You can't do that on other brands.

No problem

Carefully look for leakage of ink.
I opened the first cartridge and it had leaked inside the plastic packaging. I now have blue fingers that will not wash off.
