Fabric Water Shield, 1 Can x 400ml - Water Repellent Spray for Clothing and Household Upholstery Items, Long-Lasting

I bought this Scotchgard waterproofing spray to use on my shoes and jackets. I can say it works exceptionally well. One of my walking shoes developed a leakage though no holes was visible. I sprayed the Scotchgard deliberately, let it dry, then sprayed again. The shoes don't let water in anymore. I used it also on a couple of jackets. I was pleased there was no streaks left on the clothes and the waterproofing was very good. The spray does have a strong chemical smell so you need to use it in a well-aired place. Outside or on the balcony is fine. I think it's quite expensive at £10 a bottle. However, it definitely works well. Hope it helps.

I bought this to waterproof my Marc Jacobs canvas tote bag. It does repel water up to a point but it doesn't fully waterproof it. What it does do is stop stains from sinking into the canvas. Any dirty smudges are easily removed once two coats of this have been applied. For that reason, it was worth the money. I'd advise you to use this outdoors. The smell is horrific and the fumes almost choked me to death. I had to let my bag air for 2 days before I could use it.

An excellent product purchased to spray and protect blinds hung near the dining table in the kitchen. It does smell on application so we used it in the evening before bedtime, closed the doors and kept the dog outside. Hopefully the blinds are protected against any potential splashes

Excellent product for diy stain guarding of any new soft furnishings. I used one spray can to build-up two thin coatings on 4 velvet dining chairs. This spray has a pretty strong smell that remains in the fabric for a few days but also takes longer to go if you’ve sprayed in the house leaving residue. I would recommend spraying outside if you can or even close to open doors. Takes two or three days for smell to disappear completely but I believe that the result seems to be as good as a professional company would achieve and they quoted £100 for the same job. I found it very easy to use although the residue and smell seemed to soak into my fi hers so recommend wearing rubber gloves. Good result from branded product at a fraction of the price!! What's not to like ! Fast next day delivery under Amazon Prime.

Easy to use.. great protection for new dining chairs.

Goes on easily but after leaving it to dry for couple hours and giving the item 3coats (drying in between each) dye ran all down my door when it rained. So I now have black streaks on my white front door.

We had 4 dining chairs that we recovered. We decided to protect the fabric with this. It's is simple to apply and on my test sample, to check colour fastness, it works well when we tested it. The downside is the smell. It is very pungent and lingers in the dining room. I sprayed the chairs outside but it is still very strong after 24 hours so far even with the dining room being well ventilated.

This seems to be fine. I sprayed my light coloured chair in 2 goes as instructions said it was better to have 2 light applications as opposed to 1 heavy one. I can’t say whether it’s effective as I’d have to spill something on my chair! Assuming that it is, as the chair looks no different from when I started ; which is rather good really. I did spray it outside as there are fumes you have to be careful of. All seems to have worked well. I have half a can left and it is recommended that you re-spray again in a year’s time.

Tengo algún sofá de terciopelo y lo impregno -después de aspirar y limpiar - con este spray. Por ahora la tela no tiene ninguna mancha aunque se me hayan caído comestibles y vino encima. Me encanta

Buen producto anti lluvia para textil y cuero, funciona bastante bien y es incoloro aunque tarda bastante en que se quite el olor del disolvente de la prenda pero despues perfecto. Recomendable.

Lo he utilizado para las botas aunque ponga que es un producto para el sofá y el resultado maravilloso!

lo he utilizado en unas sillas recién tapizadas y unas zapatillas y estoy encantada
