A silicone mold? Yes. I’d apply a light coating of cornstarch right before for removal. Just follow directions on how long to cure.

Does it yellow over time?

There are a few precautions to take to prevent this product from yellowing: make sure the product is fresh. Older resin will begin to yellow. Also, using too much at a time will cause yellowing. So on big projects like countertops and sinks, you'll want to go with super thin layers rather than one large pour.

If this is an 8-ounce kit, is it 4 ounces in each bottle? Or 8 ounces in each bottle?

In this description here it says you get a 4 oz bottle of resin and a 4 oz bottle of hardener. Guess you missed that .

Can i dye it with food coloring

I’m sorry, but I can’t answer that question. My suggestion is add food coloring to a small about, add it to a disposable piece of wood, and see how it sets after 24 hours.
