B&P Lamp® 2 1/4" Fitter, Brass Screw-on, Uno-type Shade Holder

I've had an antique floor lamp for many years that holds a single downfacing bulb. It never had a shade, but I have tried several shades for it over the years - but nothing was ever right. This lamp was from some distant relative, and I didn't know what kind of shade it had when it was new. It never had a shade even when my parents had it. Anyway, I was looking at it recently and noticed the threads on the socket - and thought I would try to do some research on those. In my research, I discovered Uno sockets and how they can be used with glass shades with a 2 1/4 inch fitter with an appropriate shade holder. Anyway, many of them didn't have threads - but looking at the picture of this shade holder I thought it might work. I know there is another review that said this didn't hold a 2 1/4 inch shade - but it absolutely does. I bought my glass shade from a local hardware store and I really like how it looks. The shade did have to have a lip on the top to work with this shade holder - but I could see that was going to be the case just by looking at it. In the end, the floor lamp looks beautiful and since I got the shade on it, my daughter said she wants it. (It had been sitting in my office virtually unused for a long time). I'm very happy.

Excellent product, these Uno fitter Screw on fitters are amazing. They are very well made and have a nice weight to them. The finish was close to what I needed for an older antique lamp and when you look at them up close, you can see they are quality made. There are cheaper versions available, but do not skimp on the quality, it makes a big difference, especially when you are using vintage lamps or well made lamps, you need the high quality pieces like this.

Exactly what I needed. Fit my antique bridge lamps, screwing in place at then end of the sockets, then held the new lampshades.

We bought a reproduction Tiffany lamp shade for an antique lamp we had. This helped us further shade well. The material so not plastic, it’s metal so it matched well. It was easy to install on the lamp and shade. The cost was good and worth it. Although it’s not a 100% perfect fit, we are happy with it.

I wasn't sure this was the fitter that needed because it didnt give the dimensions for the part that screwed onto the socket but it was and I am so pleased with my purchase! The antique brass matches the original old brass sockets so well .

Good quality but pricey. It did what I wantde it to do.

The price was right with this lamp part, and the shipping quick. Its a nice, solid antique brass finish that blend well with the antiques. The threads and details are well finished and match up perfectly to my antique lamps and shades. Highly recommend this Seller!

Did the job, was able to replace the shade on my antique bridge lamp. Finish of the metal is a good match

Fits perfectly on the glass shade for my vintage bridge lamp. Still need to get an UNO thread socket to fit this onto. Good quality, though the price is pretty high.
