Not worth the time or money
Not worth the time or money. And this is not expensive, but you're throwing money away. First of all, the instructions are terrible. You can not set up this machine with what instructions are provided in English. If the instructions in the manual aren't correct, it's impossible to set up.

A good product for the price
It is a good product for the price, it's plug and play and has built in settings, you can set it up when you plug in a HDMI, supports up to 8mp poe camera, is good for budget, the view on a screen is 360p, output can be up to 4k, you should have a good camera above 1080p to view high quality if you output the footage.

It didn’t work for me
It didn’t work for me , you know how it is the luck of the Irish ,you know how it is so you have to open it up take the cover off and put your hard drive on ,and so on and so on , no sooner up on grabbing the nvr I heard a Little clinging noise like something was losing side, That sounded like trouble to me ; nothing supposed to be loose so I opened it up like I said and look for the loose device and I noticed a little tiny battery on the bottom, Walla I found the mysterious Sound, how hard it is to put the battery where is supposed to ,you will think right, but then I keep on putting the battery in and the battery keeps popping out I did this about 10 times , I even consider putting a little bit of Scotch tape on it and hold the battery in place, but then I say to myself (Just send the darn thing back Al and order something else ) so that’s what I did so I will give you a review on the next device that I purchased Sincerely Al Suarez

Do more research before you buy
Manual was difficult to understand. Tech support couldn't help me.

Works great once you sort out setup
Set up took some time to figure out due to lack of documentation and the interface could be more intuitive. Having said that, the unit works quite well. I added a 2TB surveillance hard drive. I'm using 3 cameras and would like to add a fourth for backyard surveillience. when I figure out how to string the wiring without looking obtrusive. The PoE works great and the unit works great with ONVIF cameras (using two different brands without a hitch). I would definitely recommend this as an affordable NVR.

No longer powering up , no longer powering cameras.
No longer powering up , no longer powering cameras. Inspected internal PCB and found clear evidence of chip failure. Burnt board present, with circuit traces showing clear signs of excessive heat. ... You get what you pay for.
