KEEN Utility Men's Flint Low Height Steel Toe Industrial Work Shoe

*UPDATED* They did not hold up.
These shoes are tough and comfortable. I stand and walk on a concrete floor for 10-15 hours a day and these are the only shoes that have eliminated my sore and tired feet issue. After a full day of work I can easily walk for miles with no fatigue.Update: I can no longer recommend these Keen Flints. They have cut into my ankles and made me BLEED. In just three months the inside of the left shoe has worn through the inner heel lining, exposing sharp plastic pieces, which slowly sliced into my ankle while I had to work a 14 hour shift (which my job requires constant walking). By the end of the day I was bleeding and in agony. It still has a good scab where it is trying to heal, and still painful, even 12 days later. Also the outside of the right shoe is falling apat. Again, this is in just 3 months. I want a refund.

The 1+ year shoe!
I bought these shoes for work 8 months ago and these are the best held up shoes I have ever had! I bought these for work because I work in a warehouse and they require steel toe shoes. I wear these for about 10 or so hours every day. I even take these hiking and when I'm outdoors because these work better than most hiking shoes. The pictures posted will show the amount of wear, which I can't get most pairs of shoes to last a year and I only wear about 5 hours a week. I haven't had the sole rip/peel away or have had the steel exposed. As far as the steel toe, it saved my toes from being broken when a dock plate came down on my foot. The only reason I could tell the plate was on my foot was that I was pinned and couldn't move until I had a coworker lift the plate. I occasionally have to go to construction sites and if there was any down side is they aren't waterproof, but I bought these specifically to have good airflow and not come home with trench foot.I would recommend this to anybody who is tired of buying new shoes every three or four months because they deteriorated. I myself had a hard time waiting to pay 100+ dollar shoes but the savings of only buying new shoes after a year is well worth it. My work offers a shoe allowance and in three months I can buy a new pair and will certainly buy these again, even though I don't need them.

Good breathable steel shoe option.
Background: I work for a beer distributor, I make deliveries to small and large retail markets, my shifts are between 9 and 13 hours and I spend most of that on my feet. Any shoes I wear take a beating, they usually start showing signs of wear in the front as I pivot when spinning my hand truck around. I use to wear running style of shoes to help keep my feet cooler. After a foot injury I decided to look for a steel toe shoe option. I looked at all my local options and found the Keen shoes to be the most comfortable for me, however I bought on Amazon because I wanted a wider versions that wasn't locally available. Not only have these fit well they breath more like shoes and not standard steel toe footwear. I'll buy them again when they need replacement. Why not 5 stars???The outside bottoms closer to the arch have come loose on both shoes, the black rubber tread have separated from the grey core of the sole. I'm guessing this is from the pivoting I do at work. I keep meaning to glue them but keep forgetting, you know how that goes, lol.

Great Work Shoe!
When I first put them on I thought I was going to have to return them due to the steel toe rubbing on my jacked up 🔨 toe but after wearing around the house for a week or so and allowing them to break in my toe settled down and all I can say is I love them. They are extremely comfortable. I walk about 3.5 miles a day in my job in cold cellars and they are great. Probably the best work shoes I've ever owned. I will update this review if anything changes but so far they are really great! They give you a very stable feeling even on wet surfaces. I've worn Keen work boots in the past and they too were great but these are even better.I find these to be far superior for the price than anything I can find in any of the shoe trucks that visit our plant periodically.

Know your Keen shoe size before buying online
Keens are the most comfortable sneakers I've ever owned, and I keep coming back for more. Recently I decided to buy a pair online to avoid the trip into the city. I remembered that they run small, so I bought a pair of size 11, one size up from my usual 10 1/2. They were still too small, but only by a smidge, so I stubbornly kept wearing them. Big mistake. They were okay for short distances, but long walks ended in painfully chafed toes. I eventually set them aside for donation and bought a new pair, this time in 11 1/2. This pair worked out; I'm still wearing them as we speak.I still recommend Keen, but I suggest buying them in a store if you've never bought them before, to avoid size issues. Also, I've had problems in the past with Keen sneakers wearing out very suddenly - you've had the same pair for a year and think they're still in good shape, and then one day a section of the sole literally breaks off. It's possible they've improved in the last few years, but be aware that these shoes may not be long-lasting.

Sixth or seventh pair of Keen shoes for me now? Never ever disappointed. I'm nearly 6' tall and around 260 lbs and I work 12 hour shifts on concrete and these Keen shoes are by far the best work and play shoes I have had in nearly 60 years of buying shoes.

Don't mow your toes.
I bought these (and a pair for my wife) specifically for mowing the lawn... Sounds crazy, right?Everybody knows you're supposed to take old shoes and retire those to lawn duty. We've had many close calls over the years, and something grippy with steel toes has always been on my mind. The tipping point was our neighbor putting their foot under their mower recently. These are confidence inspiring when mowing --- our lots sit on a hillside and the grass is often damp in areas. My experience so far is that these shoes provide tons of grip on damp grassy hills. Perfect for my application.I usually wear a 12, sometimes a 13. I ordered both. The 12 won out.My wife usually wears a 7. She had to size up to 7.5.Her toes were hitting the end of the toe box in the size 7.She has a narrow foot and says the width was better in the 7, a bit loose in the 7.5 but still manageable.

Room For Your Toes! Run Small But Good Width
I've been buying wide shoes on Amazon for a few years, because my 4E wide, flat feet are definitely a pain to buy for, and once I saw these on sale I knew I needed to take a chance because Keen makes some great shoes that I can't normally wear.Size wise they run small, this is true for the standard and the Utility lines. I normally wear a 10.5-11, and I ordered a 12 for this pair. My toes have a sliver of room at the end and are NOT bunched in by the steel toe cap, however, if I could swap out for a 12.5 I would, just to allow room for a thicker insole. The insole that comes with the shoes is very nice, but it can't compare with the Timberland Pro inserts.I ordered these shoes thinking there was an 80-90% chance I would need to return them, but not only am I keeping them, I'm pretty happy I finally get to wear some Keen's......now if only they made a wide sandal my shoe collection would be complete :P
