Straight out the box, this power box suited my needs perfectly. The cable looks strong and robust, and the unit looks quality. Accommodates the six plugs nicely apart from one issue, This issue is the reason I couldn’t give it 5 stars. Which is unfortunate. The issue is that when the plugs are inserted into the sockets, the leads of the plugs are tight against the opposite plug, very tight squeeze. On two of the sides (see picture). On the third side of the unit where the USB ports are, if you have a large plug adapter inserted , it makes the USB ports unusable (see picture). So any large plUg type adapters have to go in the sockets away from the usb slots, Shame. Other than this issue, it works very well.

8 sockets, 4 USB outlets. What more could you ever need? I'm going to fit this behind my computer where the array of power connectors has become too cumbersome. This will be ideal here. I've got 6 mains plugs there and 3 USB devices to plug in too. The device itself stands neatly on the floor, though by itself is really light. The cable is really long, longer than I need but will be useful for some where they don't have a socket close by. The sockets have shutters on them to stop kids poking stuff in. The USB outlets seem to charge quickly, I can't dispute the claimed output of 4.5a. Great product, recommended.

low center of gravity so will not topple over height just under 7 inch same sade to side once plugged in green indicator comes on if not just press red reset button underneath 2 on off switches on top sockets left switch controls 4 front sockets right switch controls rear sockets rear sockets face the opposite way which means the cables almost meet if you have a front and rear socket in use especially if they have that extra cladding where lead enters the main plug as most do these days not a problem could do with sockets been just a little further apart tin that area as i said not a real problem the one down side are those plugs that are larger than a normal plug i.e extend above a normal socket the kind you might find on a router for example mine fitted on a rear socket so as not to interfere with usb but was a tight fit to the adjoining plug socket if a plug extends below a normal socket there is no such problem they also supply 2 spare 10 amp fuses a nice touch the correct fuse for this item i checked as there was some confusion in other reviews about thisalmost forgot 5m cable much nicer to have as most only offer 2m i hope this added information helps others i gave 5 stars so you can tell i was happy with this product

I needed to purchase another extension for my plugs and USB ports and my last one was a small normal flat shape but cord wasn't so long. This is absolutely worth the money the length of the cord is more than you could possibly need, the tower itself is lightweight yet has so many plug outlets I would be surprised if you would need anymore. The safety switches are on the top to isolated and turn of what you are not using, my son was so happy because he had enough USB ports for his game and also could have his fan rotating in the background keeping him cool in these crazy heatwave times. I also got 5% discount so now is the time to buy one for yourself. There is no over heating at all which I was having with the other one, now this is twice the price but you definitely get what you pay for and for safety and quality there isn't any comparison in my humble opinion. Would highly recommend this product for all the reasons stated above plus it's not an eyesore to look at either, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another or recommend this product to others either. If even comes with two spare fuses as extra.

I bought one similar a while ago but couldn’t get it again, found this one and gave it a chance.What can I say, yes it is an extension lead, not much to rave about, but it’s made well, 5m cable (life saver) and multiple on and off switches which means not all devices need to be switched on at once.This one sits under my desk, it’s also a lot nicer to get to, plug and unplug things too!The USB ports are a great extra, other than that, great build quality and nice materials used.

I purchased this as I was happy with the16 outlet version I purchased previously.This particular one I'm using for a TV/cable box/AV receiver and various other electrical items in the living room.Like the 16 outlet version it is lightweight yet sturdy enough to stand vertically even with all of the sockets taken up. I don't use the USB ports but have tried on the other model and it seemed to work fine for charging. There are also 2 power switches so you can switch off half of the sockets but leave power to the others. This can be useful if for example you want to power everything down except a cable TV box to allow it to continue recording on a schedule.The big plus to this shorter 8 outlet version is that it is short enough to fit on a lower shelf of my TV cabinet, so it keeps the power plugs tidy and out of sight. It makes a big difference having only a single power cord visible next to the skirting board rather than a whole power brick and all of the additional power cables.

This has been running for a week in my music room powering my laptop, amp, a couple of lights, a mobile phone and a tablet and it works.It's sturdy and it is very stable. I'm impressed with the ease of use. It's ready to go straight out of the box. It's anliw price but good quality item.It arrived undamaged in a good box. It's black and looks quite cool - for a plug set!Good value.

Positives:- Eight plug sockets with individual switches for each side (i.e. one switch controls four plugs) as well as the four USB ports. All working well.- Rubber feet prevent the unit from slipping.- Unit is stable, especially if heavier plugs plugged into the bottom.One possible improvement could be to add some more weight to the bottom to increase stability further.
