Vivitar T Mount Adapter for Canon EOS R Mount Mirrorless Cameras

This adapter fits the Canon R body, but the front side of the adapter is only a 42 mm screw-in insert for the T ring or any other fitting. I called Vivitar and they don’t make a 48 mm insert for this adapter. Must purchase somewhere else.

I ordered two of those for a 500mm T mount lens and a 420-800mm zoom lens with the same mounts for a mirrorless APS-C camera, and it works brilliantly.

Fitted to Celestron T-ring and Canon RP.Tight fit on the camera but works.

I already have a RF / EF adapter, and an EF T Mount adapter which I could use. I discovered that this adapter is the same thickness as the two of them together (which does make sense). In other words, if you already have the other adapters, you don't need this one. Since none of these adapters have any optics, there is no functional difference.

Did not fit my canon 80D

I bought this for my Canon R series camera, however it would not twist and lock into the lens mount on the camera. I wound up having to return it and buy another mount. The quality is there in the materials and the overall finish. I'm sure I got a dud, but because of poor quality control I can't in good conscience give it a high rating.

This is high quality item. Well made , well fit. Length of the adapter is 35mm, exactly what you need to achieve 55mm back focus with Canon R cameras.
