Fantastic!
This is a thick and heavy, solid and well made knife. The wood and bone grip fits the hand nicely, and look great. The blade is very sharp, and the balance is excellent. The grip fits nicely in the hand. I have wanted a nice, authentic Nepalese kukri for my collection for a while, and this one is perfect. Highly recommend this knife, and EGKH. Even though one of the small included utility knives had no edge, I was able to put an edge on it easily enough, I still have to give this knife 5 stars. If you are looking for an authentic kukri, this one is top notch!

Beautiful and functional
Better than expected. The handle is solid as a rock with a beautiful hand carved finish. The bone and rosewood sections are nice and flush with no gaps. The weight came in slightly less than quoted at 779 grams, another positive. There is a very gradual distal taper on the spine,9mm to 3mm,and a nice, unexpected hollow grind between the spine and the v shaped cutting edge bevel. The PoB sits smack bang at the halfway point of the entire length of the knife or about 3.75inches from the handle. This is a strong utility knife that would perform any number of functions well. This was made by men,not machines, so the finish is imperfect but beautiful just the same.I love this thing and recommend it highly.

high quality fully functional
oh what to say other than I'm very impressed with the quality and the absolute beauty of this Kukri. It was fairly sharp out of the box but I sharpened it a little bit more and now it's scary sharp. it is 5160 high carbon steel so your do need to maintain it. I don't suggest using oil because it gets in your scabbard, get some Zephyr 40 pro chrome polish that's what I use and my knives have never rusted, I polish them once or twice a month. I highly recommend this Kukri what an absolute beautiful work of art!!!

Are you into knives?
I bought one of these for myself. Because when I grew up, we had one on the coffee table. There was a story about the Gurkha Kukri knife that once drawn from the sheath, it must have blood on it before returned to the sheath. That story always freaked out my friend until I found out it was true. The history and culture of the Gurkha and their warrior blade is legendary. My cousin always had an interest in ours. So for his 60th birthday, I bought him one too. These knives are by far the best representation of a true Gurkha knife. As a matter of fact, they are made by ex-Gurkhas. I am thoroughly impressed with mine. I highly recommend them five stars.

Excellent knife, company responsive to any issues and aims to please !
There was a shipping issue promptly resolved by EGKH, they answered their phone unlike most companies today and all this a week out from Christmas, will buy from them again. Quality of knife is superb, actually handmade instead of a mass produced clone so you get something special !
