Soda sniper
If youโve ever wanted to relive your childhood backyard target practice days but with a serious, modern upgrade, this is the ticket. Itโs got that satisfying, classic pump action, a surprisingly solid weight to it, and shoots straight as an arrow. I mounted the scope on it, and now the local soda can population doesn't stand a chance. Itโs quiet enough that the neighbors don't think a tactical squad is breaching my kitchen, but powerful enough to make you feel like a certified marksman. Whether you're teaching the kids the ropes of gun safety or just practicing your own trick shots off the deck, this thing is pure, unadulterated, old-school fun.

Great little rifle
The rifle was just what I needed to control the squirrels in our back yard. It was light, sturdy and shot pellets very well using the hard sights. Itโs easy to load and pump. Trigger pull is just right to keep you from jerking the rifle. I recommend it for effective and accurate & quiet shooting.

Overall, pretty good
Build quality seemed a little questionable. Took forever to sight it in, mostly because the front sights were crooked. The scope is ok unless you're aiming at anything beyond 50 feet. Upgrade the scope and get the front sights set properly. Also, if you're thinking about hunting just know the clicking noise from pumping it up can be heard from space.

Accurate, powerful, excellent open sights.
This is an amazing pellet/BB rifle for the price. The open fiber optic sights are outstanding and allow quick target acquisition if you are not using the included scope. There is absolutely no recoil as you find with spring and gas piston pellet rifles which enhances practical accuracy. The build is solid and the power with just one pump sends a pellet through both sides of a tough cardboard box and the pellet hits the bushes beyond. The rifle is well balanced and easy to aim. It is well worth a 5 star rating!

Reliable and powerful well-made
This is a great BB gun and pellet gun shooting .177 caliber pellets and BBs. Economically sound and aesthetically pleasing this is usually one of my favorite BB guns and reminds me a lot of the BB Scout except this is a little bit more powerful. It seems like it's actually more than listed. Shooting for fun or stopping hordes of rats this will do it.

A really GREAT pellet gun, a BB gun...not so much.....
It states that this is a "BB/Pellet Gun". It should be stated as a "Pellet/BB Gun". While shooting pellets at 35 feet, it is SUPER accurate, grouping 5 shots within a circle the size of a quarter (eight pumps and open sights). I didn't mount the scope. It is basically useless. The target viewed through the scope is very fuzzy and basically no magnification. I was hoping the scope would work well, as it has a very nice mounting rail that it appears would remain accurate once sighted in. I didn't have to adjust the rear sights, even though they are adjustable. The fiber optic sights are excellent and very easy to see. The pistol grip stock is great. Now for the bad....at the same distance and number of pumps, the best I could do with BB's was a 5 1/2 diameter "grouping". I had no idea where they were going to hit. So, if you want a BB gun, you probably want to get something else. If you want a pellet gun, get this one...it is VERY accurate and shoots hard! THE ABOVE WAS WHEN I FIRST PURCHASED THE GUN....NOW: I oiled it with 30W non-detergent oil as stated to do in the owners manual(same as I use in my lawnmower) and stored it in my garage. I took it out two days ago (about 4 months after purchase) and now I can't get it to pressure up. When it does semi-pressure up, the best I can get is a 12 inch diameter "grouping" at 45 feet. At that distance, with the sights adjusted at max, it still drops 10-12 inches from where I aim. The gun is basically worthless. ONE MORE UPDATE: I purchased the gun on 11-28-2016, arrived 12-05-2016, emailed Josh (Service Dept) 3-22-2017 of the above problem, no response. Talked to Josh on 6-6-2017. He said he needed the order number and that he would send a replacement gun. I left him a message that day, 6-6-2017 with the order number, no response. I sent him an email on 6-24-2017. NO RESPONSE. Bottom line....if you need to return or have service GOOD LUCK WITH THAT. IT DOESN'T EXIST WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!

What a great gun for the money. My son and I are having a blast with this pellet gun. Good quality, solid construction.

Troubled But Looks Cool
This rifle worked nice for about 50 shots and then suddenly started leaking air and would not pump. I suspect that the valve is stuck or something, perhaps a leaking seal. Others have the same problem with this. I went to the Bear River site and one clue could be that they had 500 refurbished guns of this model for sale at $35. I intend to tear the gun apart to see if it's fixable. One person who had a similar problem did this and found some dirt in the valve and cleaned it out and it worked ok after. One thing is, I can't find any videos or diagrams on take down procedures. I guess I will have to learn as I go. Update ! ---- I completely disassembled the gun and could find nothing mechanically wrong but completely cleaned and lubed the pumping piston and seals with a 50/50 mix of 30weight motor oil and Lucas Lube. This provided a high quality higher viscosity lubricant and the gun immediately stared pumping as it should. I think the factory lube was much too thin to seal properly. The pump on this gun is not the highest quality in terms of precision and therefore will do a better job with higher viscosity lube. I figured that I had nothing to loose. If you try this as a last resort, be sure to clean out barrel of oil. You may have to do this repeatedly to get broke in. I changed rating from 2 stars to 3 because I still like the gun. I may purchase one of the refurbished guns as a parts gun for the future. If you are not skilled at taking things apart this might not be the gun for you. The Bear River website is totally useless and does not provide any info on diagrams, as they claim in the owners manual.
