TPAhoy Wooden Ship Play Boat with Sandbox and Shade Cover

Such a cute addition to our backyard. The kids have so much fun with all the features! Definitely recommend.

This product is terrible. Cheap wood, several split while we were assembling. Instructions were not easy. Several missing pieces. By the time we realized we had missing pieces, I was not willing to take it all apart, put it back in the box and try to ship it back. Also had a couple broken parts, including the wheel. To pay $200 for an item and have it be that difficult to assemble for that cheap of a product. I’m hoping this saves someone else the hassle.

Hardware and lumber were received but unfortunately the materials needed to contain sand (actual sandbox insert), small bin that fits inside the front deck area and the shade canopy were not included. Trying to figure out something to make a canopy out of and to keep sand where it’s supposed because I’ve already stained and sealed the wood and really do not want to return it for full product replacement. Who can I contact about the missing items so I can complete the construction and my grandkids can use this item?

So where do I start... the directions were just pictures with no explanation. Furthermore, the measurements were in millimeters. This item was shipped to the United states so it was a hassle converting to inches. The pine wood that was used is not of the best quality for the price that was paid. Since the construction instructions were not clear, unless you are mechanically inclined it will take you a quite while to put together. The floor of the sand pit was constructed of weeding fabric, meaning that if you put at least 50lbs of sand the fabric will tear if you move it. I had to reinforce it with heavy duty cardboard, to insure the bottom would not get destroyed as a child plays in it. The reason for 3 stars was that it looked nice once it was built, otherwise I would of have given it 2 stars. The money spent was really not worth it.

Take your time and it will come out great....Update….it will fall apart after a year!

I was so excited to receive this product and could not wait to get it together. Once we opened the box, the issues started.1. Holes were not pre drilled.2. Needed extra sanding down. Still had wood poking out - has caused splinters in my kinds hands.3. wood at the bottom of boat seems ok and sturdy. All the other wood is flimsy and has already broken off.Like I said, I was super excited about this boat and it had decent reviews. However, we are just shy of 2 months owning it and it is already broken.

This is absolutely horrible to assemble. Why would they have everything in metric. The conversions are not correct and this sandbox is a nightmare to assemble. Run far away do not purchase.
