Pre-Algebra: Order of Operations

There ARE instructions, YES! My 7th grade dyslexic daughter that hates math is doing this by herself. She does 4 pages a day and I can tell she enjoys it because it builds very gradually, it is very break down. Very break down concepts and lots of practice is how she learns best and mester things. Definitely not the way they do it in public school that’s way she is homeschooled, she learnt how to enjoy learning by herself at her own pace by having materials like this, time and support.

This is an excellent addition to our homeschool learning. I love how it starts off very basic and increases to much more difficult problems. The cost was great, worth every penny. There are no instructions though, so the teacher must know how to perform order of operations pemda. Answer keys are in the back which is a blessing

It was arranged logically more progressively difficult. It was easy for my middle schooler to follow. We used just every other page, but that means that there is much in there if you need it as a resource for those who need lots of help :). I would get it again. I think though I was hoping for more integer and distributive practice...but it was a help overall.

Using this to help an above average student jump ahead. I had to cut out the answer pages.

After reviewing the state assessment testing (5th grade) I realized there were questions that used ‘order of operations’ despite not being apart of the state curriculum (TX STAAR), so since I’m homeschooling, I decided to teach this concept, and review it daily (1 page a day, 10 questions about 10-15 min) to help cement the concept. It’s working! The problems start easy and progress through the concept. This book is great and has a comprehensive answer key. It’s perfect for practice. Highly recommend!

Great drills to create autopilot instead of keeping the multiplication table nearby.

Love this book, lots of examples in the book. Explanations very clear.

I can recommend this book for anyone who stragglers with the math fluency. I bought this book for my 8 year old sister, such math was hard for her in the beginning, but by practicing she managed to learn it.
