I needed some thing particularly to allow me quick removal of my fluid head from my tripod. This is the only quick release tool that ticked all the boxes.As I already owned the Ifootage Tripod it seemed the right thing to do in keeping with this remarkable company.I couldn't believe the quality of this device. Ifootage have kept up the high degree of precision manufacturing in this quick release device. You simply attach the lower section to your tripod base and the other to your fluid head and thats it. Perfect fit and a distinctive click to know your good to go. Of course you can attach this device to your camera if you so desire. This is designed for heavy weight objects and my fluid head is heavy. Can't fault it in any way. Highly recommend this product above all others in this design.

This is a professional level quick release system, it's built like a tank and will cope with my use without breaking a sweat, it's easy to use and with a few of them flipping from one rig to another rig takes a second so if you're looking for a heavy-duty quick release system you can't get much better without venturing into the cinematography sector with much higher prices, all in all, a brilliant system.

£80 at time of reviewI’d not heard of ifootage before, but having done a google search I see they’ve been around a while (even ProAV sells their stuff), so they’re a brand that had slipped under my radar. I standardised my entire quick release to ARCA many years ago, as I was fed up with having numerous very similar looking QR’s that did’t play nicely together (I even have ARCA QR’s attached to my Manfrotto QR”s, as the tripods are so good I can’t part with them). So to try out a new QR I was hesitant, but having used it I have to say it’s brilliant, very well made (although having only the one QR limits my usage currently, but it’s been great for holding an entire rig in place on top of my big heavy duty video tripod (that’s when the ARCA was in my mind a little too small).So I have to say this is a great system, locks in very securely and very easy to remove, so if you’ve not committed to another QR yet, or have a few different ones already then this may be a good one to try out (although as ARCA is an open standard it’s way more available).Hope my review was helpful

Literally the best quick release system I have ever owned. I own 10 of these for all of my equipment.

I have 3 sets of these and they are absolutely terrific. One mounted to my tripod, one on my monopod and one on my slider. The top halves are mounted to the bottoms of my two video heads and a ball-head. The amount of versatility this provides in quickly swapping heads or bases for the different jobs I am doing is fantastic. I can’t say enough good things about iFootage products in general, they are really well thought out with excellent quality to boot.
