A top paper, capable of awesome results.
After my latest 13 x 19 Velvet Fine Art print slid out of my ET-8550 printer, my jaw dropped. The best description is “fantastic”. I have not yet tried many other papers with this printer, but I don’t think any would be better than this one. Be sure to use the correct profile when you print with this paper.

This is beautiful paper that makes my work look much better than ...
What can I say? This is beautiful paper that makes my work look much better than I could, alone. It holds fine details while yielding rich color and velvety blacks. Of course, you need a printer that can both feed and print on such thick stock, as well as put down sufficient ink to feed this thirsty paper--I use an Epson Stylus Pro 3880. Things I don't like? Well, it's very difficult (impossible for me, even using the "wet finger" test) to tell which side is which, and you must print on the face side. However, the plastic pouch the paper comes in is supposed to be oriented such that, if its flap is on top when the pouch is sealed, the face side of the paper will be up. So, I place the paper and pouch on my worktable with the sealed flap up, open the flap down onto the table, and withdraw one sheet at a time, face up. Other than that, I wish my printer would auto-feed from a stack of this paper, but it cannot. That's the printer's limitation, though, not the paper's. Buy one of the Epson sample packs, if you haven't tried this paper, yet, and I'll bet you'll be adding it to your inventory.

Excellent paper, however I'm limiting how I use it
My initial impressions... this paper FEELS so good in your hands! The paper is almost twice as thick as Epson's Ultra Premium Luster photo paper (another super excellent Epson paper!). Heavy and substantial! I got it to use on my Epson Stylus Pro 3880 printer. It's an excellent paper for printing photos of fine art.. and "Old World" photography. I used it the other day to print a photo that was perfect for the Watercolor filter in Photoshop CS5. It works very well whenever using "Watercolor" type filters in Photoshop and other editing programs. However it CAN be used in other situations, depending on your image. It is a SUPERB paper! For exhibition quality B & W prints, try Epson's Exhibition glossy paper. NOTE: This paper was designed to be used in Epson's professional printers and a few of the wide format prosumer printers. Not for their basic consumer printers or all-in-ones where it will actually jam your printer badly!! Verify in your printer manual that this paper can be used with your printer. If your printer cannot be loaded with a matte black cartridge, you probably have a printer that is incompatable with this paper.

This is excellent paper, but seriously overpriced and does have a velvety feel on one side but....
This is excellent paper, but seriously overpriced and does have a velvety feel on one side with the other side being smooth. I am having a hard time finding paper that is velvety and this almost meets my criteria as I use colored pencils and graphite. This is not like the flocked velvety paper though and that paper will not work well with graphite anyway. I would like to find some paper that has a more velvety feel to it, a deeper pile per say and I will keep looking until I find it, I want the feel of sued. Actual sued does not do well with graphite so animal skins are out unless I change them somehow to be able to take graphite better, already tried that route. Think I am going to have to go to a professional art shop and buy paper by the piece, which is really expensive at about $4 - $8 a sheet, of a large sheet of paper about 24" square, and was hoping not to have to do that, but while this paper is good, it is not exactly what I am looking for as I do a lot of botanicals, flowers and animals. This paper also will probably not do well if you want to get really dark blacks or erase a lot, but with that being said is really good art paper. Probably great for portraits also.

Great for Watercolor/Art Prints
This is nice, high quality art printer paper. The details are crisp and colors look nearly better than the original. Worked very well for fine art prints of my watercolors. Nice and thick. Good print ability - Worked well in my Epson ET-2800. Compared to other types of similar paper, this seems like a good value for the cost.

Excellent For Fine Art Prints
This paper is excellent for fine art prints from an inkjet printer. The paper has a nice substantial weight, gives a great matte finish with a lovely velvet texture. I used my home printer. A Canon G6000 series and the prints looked professionally done! The paper is a cream color, so keep that in mind. It worked great for what we were printing, but I do wish Epson offered an option for the same paper in white as well.

Great for giclee prints
I make art prints for my clients. I did a lot of research before settling on this as my paper of choice, and I've been happily using it for a few years now. It can be pricier than some others, but I love the way the colors come out on it, smooth and saturated in a way you don't usually see on matte papers. (Just make sure you print on the right side! The printing side is the one that's facing you when you open the package, with the sheet of directions in front.) It's a good weight too, nice and thick while still being manageable by a home printer.

Expensive but great results
I’ve only printed one of these so far with my new Epson printer but the results were beautiful and no fuss.

Excelllent High Quality Professional Paper
This is an excellent product which I highly recommend for professional inkjet printing on an Epson printer. The quality of the prints and the colour are outstanding and the texture and weight of the paper is beautiful and enhances the images. I have always used this paper for special portfolio work and for exhibitions. It is expensive but if you want a professional look with good colour, sometimes it is worth paying extra for a high quality product.

Excellent papier
