Sport-Brella Versa-Brella SPF 50+ Adjustable Umbrella with Universal Clamp

This is my 2nd one of these I buy. The first one I bought years ago and only broke because my 8 year old wanted to swing on it while it was attached to my chair. The quality is great of these umbrellas. I use the cl in my chair while watching softball games. I e never seen the regular size but xl is what I want. It is easily portable, it is stable in the weather and easy to use. I do not use this in heavy wind, I do not use any umbrella in heavy wind. This is wind resistant to light winds and keeps its stability fine in it but it is an umbrella. Treat it right and it treats you right.

I bought this umbrella to use for shade at my son’s baseball games, and it has been a great purchase. It’s very easy to use and transport, which makes it perfect for outdoor events. The clamp design is simple. It’s just a quick twist to attach it securely to a chair. It’s also adjustable, so you can position it however you need to block the sun throughout the game. Once it’s set, it stays in place and provides excellent shade. It feels durable and has held up well so far no matter where I’ve attached it. Overall, it’s been a real lifesaver on hot, sunny days. I definitely recommend this umbrella for anyone spending long hours outdoors.

I bought this sport umbrella when a freak heat wave hit the San Francisco Bay Area. Temps at the SF 49ers game were forecast in the high 90's and my seat is directly in the sun at a place that is notorious for "no shade." The actual temperature in San Jose that day hit 103-degrees. The Versa-Brella worked beautifully under those extreme conditions. It provided wide, outstanding UV-protective, welcoming cool shade and, along with hydrating (of course!), I got through the 5-hour ordeal (pregame tailgate and post-game egress included) surprisingly well! My seatmate told me "That umbrella saved your ___!" It is easily adjustable to account for the day's changing angles of the sun. There is a caveat, however, which cost it a star in my opinion. Wind. While the clamp is sturdy and held the umbrella firmly in its spot, moderate winds that came late in the day caused the umbrella to easily tilt away stressing the flimsy joints that make the umbrella so versatile. There is a lot of play in the joint clips and I did not want to test how much toque they could take before they snapped, so I (wisely?) put a hand on the stem to keep it from snapping back and forth. In light winds the umbrella performed without that concern. Personally, I would not test the umbrella's sturdiness in moderate to brisk or steady winds for fear of damage to the product. But for UV-protected shade on a hot day, it met the test and more. Imagine my surprise when we noticed that people all around us had the same umbrella! That is an endorsement, of sorts. Stay cool!

I bought this to shade my little cat house from the afternoon sun. It works perfectly, attached easily and keeps the sun from shining inside the little house. Really well made umbrella. Perfect size for my use.

I purchased this solar umbrella to shade me while working on my backhoe. Strange use-case I know. The umbrella itself is fine and does a great job protecting me from the sun and the adjust ability was excellent. The carry case was well made and fit well and attaching the umbrella was relatively secure. HOWEVER, the middle pivot broke after only 10 hours of use. I was extremely careful to fold up the umbrella while moving my tractor, but the plastic snapped one one side of the pivot. I am not using this in a high wind environment, so was very disappointed in the middle pivot. If they could improve this it would easily be a 5 star product.

This thing is awesome! Attaches to pretty much anything and I love that you can rotate it 360 to get shade where you need it. It’s perfect for stroller walks with my 6 month old baby!

Update: I decided to use this umbrella for its intended purpose instead of a shield for my plants getting started. After less than one year of use, using two times max per week only during summer months, the mechanism to attach the umbrella to a chair has now failed. There is a nut, bolt, and spring that are now malfunctioning. There’s no way to tighten the handle and affix it to any item in order to use. This umbrella has now become useless. To only get a few months of use out of this piece, it was way over priced. I will never be purchasing this umbrella again. As you can see in my photos, I am not using this umbrella for its traditional use on a chair for a human being at the moment. Making a poor decision, I planted some herbs, succulents, and cacti right before a heavy rain, and didn’t want to chance them getting destroyed. I had previously added this item to a wish list for its traditional use and thought why not get it now since it could have dual purposes. Well, as an umbrella for my 3 tier plant stand, it is wonderful. I put the umbrella in two separate locations along the second shelf, as well as with slight differences in the tilt/angle. This umbrella is very versatile. At each joint you can make adjustments. The base joint can be turned/rotated almost 360°. This really came in handy when placing the umbrella in the center of my second shelf as I could rotate the pole forward on the swivel so it was out of the way of the 1st and 3rd shelves. So far, the pushbutton controls along the umbrella pole seem smooth and durable. I have only been able to test out the umbrella in mild winds at about 5 to 10 mph and it withstood that just fine. I have noticed when I go to remove the umbrella from the shelf after raining, it has loosened very slightly at the c-clamp but not enough to be an issue. I purchased the umbrella in gray and it gives quite sufficient UV coverage. The umbrella comes with a nylon carrying case with shoulder strap. This size small, gives perfect coverage for my 24” wide plant stand and would be suitable for 1 average sized person in a chair. I cannot wait until it heats up again so I can try out this umbrella on a chair as intended. So far this is one of my better purchases on Amazon, I definitely recommend it to others, and would purchase it again if need be, possibly in a different color or larger size.

Versatile, light weight, compact, easy to put up and looking at other makes is better functioning, the various adjustments are easy to use and are robust again compared with reviews I read of other rival makes. a great product and will be buying more for gifts.

Does the job perfectly of offering just enough shade (especially for the face) whilst sunbathing on my balcony. Glad I didn’t purchase the XL as this size is just right and i love how it can be re-positioned easily in order to find the right balance of sun and shade. Would highly recommend this product.
