GREAT mask, kid loves it!
As a parent I worry about what I'm putting on my daughter to make her more safe. THIS not only is super lightweight and doesn't constantly fall off, but it also does just as good if not better than the metal ones! It looks great, she says it feels great, but most importantly she's taken some rockets to the mask and walks it off once the scared part wears off! DEFINITELY recommend for the safety and comfort of your kid! 8U softball can be crazy!

This is the best kids youth softball mask I have ever seen. It fits perfectly to my 4-8 yo girls faces. The padding is comfortable for them and best of all the chin pad doesn't fall off to get lost ever time its taken off a child's face. I will recommend this to all my softball parents

It's fine.
Since they never actually tell you anywhere in the product listing, the weight of the mask is 294 grams.I don't know if that's considered super light or not, but the way it sits on the face is uncomfortable. It applies a lot of downward pressure on the brow. You could tighten it a lot more, but then it's like putting your head in a vise. Every mask is probably like that, though.The way they made the straps, you can't adjust it while you are wearing it. You need to remove, adjust, check the fit, remove again, adjust again, check the fit again...

Safety First!
Been playing softball my entire life without a face shield. Something in my 41st year on this planet told me standing on that pitchers mound was playing with fire... First time out on the field this season, wore the mask and took a ball to the chin. Other than the mask moving a little, I didn't feel a thing! Mission: Accomplished. Lightweight, doesn't block my view of anything, able to wear sunglasses under it. Adjustable pads on the inside and has a little loop for my ponytail to go through. Highly recommend!

Amazing! But didn't fit
Best mask on the market if it fits you. Youth didn't so we ended up getting the adult one which does. My daughter LOVES the mask, especially the purple, but the bend in the mask shape for youth size is simply too tight to fit her head, so it pinched in the front of her forehead. Her youth RIP IT mask has a wider 'brim' angle so it fits, but we ended up getting the adult Champion magnesium which fit perfectly. She's 11 and 5'4".
