I'm still giving it a 5 star even though it does not shut off. It is not an expensive toy but I found it super cute and my kiddo enjoyed it, therefore worth it. She would try to catch the water and even stop it. People review it saying the batteries rust and water gets in the bottom, etc. An easy solution is when the batteries die, take them out and either dry where they go or let it air dry. Don't leave water sitting. I have yet to have a problem. Worth the $15

Brought this product in hopes of creating a fun and exciting bath experience for my ten month old. Upon arrival it was practically impossible to get the back off with the screws (come on china with the tiny screws and tiny ant holes that screwdrivers barely fit in. Huge choking hazard. Could we STOP THIS PLEASE!!!) it’s definitely NOT waterproof as they describe and the thing goes through batteries like nobodies business. Even the energizer bunny told me to get rid of it! The whale worked for only 3 times then barely spouted water from its blowhole. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! What scares me the most is my son explores his new world with his mouth and with the corrosion of the batteries because of the water and the product not being waterproof puts a fear in me like no other! Like, what if it had gotten into my babies mouth or even worse his bloodstream. This product really needs to be revamped before something worse happens!!! Refund won’t correct this error!!!

My son loves this whale as it is easy to use. It is a fun toy to play with especially during bathes! The spray of the whale stopped working after a week while the lights were still on, not sure what happened. But all in all it was a great way for my baby to stay entertained

Really cool toy and kept little dudes interest but the battery ran out really fast. I would take it out of the water every single time and dry it off but still seemed to die after a couple baths.

My niece was afraid of this toy the first couple of times. When we would put it in the bath she would immediately want to get out. she’s 11 months old. We would use it for a short period of time during bath time and keep it away from her. Just put it in to desensitize her and let her watch it from afar knowing it wasn’t going to come near her. It didn’t take too long for her to start liking it and now she loves it! She isn’t talking yet but when it’s not in the bath she points to it and wants us to put it in the bath. When it comes by her, she opens her mouth and uses it like a drinking fountain 😂 the lights are great too! The batteries ran out fairly quickly so idk if it sucks battery life or if the batteries were bad (but they were new batteries). Still 5 stars. A great bath toy
