Scheppach HBS30 Bandsaw, 350W, 80mm Cut Height, 900m/min Speed, Extended Tilting Table, Mitre Gauge & 3 Saw Blades

The instructions were truly awful. It told me to do things I immediately had to undo in the next step. Once fully assembled had to take it all apart again to adjust the blade. OK I should have read them first but still. One of the grub screws sheared the alloy threads under no real force just pinching the bearing, had to drill and tap a new hole. Luckily I have the tools. But once assembled it works fine so bearing in mind the cost I'm giving 5 stars, but it is "for the cost".

Good value for money and arrived on time. Quite sturdy and well made. Easy to use and gives an excellent cut. Self assembly with instruction booklet shows how to assemble. Only criticism I have is that the pictures showing how to set up the actual band saw were not very clear as they were in black and grey. I looked up on YouTube for better pictures to make sure it was correct.

Nice little bandsaw lots better than using a jigsaw, very diy in its capabilities. I’ve found the table tilts out of square easily so watch that. When assembling track the blade and adjust the guides before fitting the table. Light enough to lift on a bench but heavy enough to not move when using it

A bit fiddly to put together and I've yet to test its accuracy. Overall seems like a good buy.

Very happy to receive it two days early. Not yet used it but Super easy to set up, the assembly/adjustment tools are of a much higher quality than I expected. No adjustment needed, straight out of the box. The fence fits snuggely, with zero play, however the mitre gage wobbles, this could be address with a second bearing. Came with two extra belts, maybe one could have been a different width but that is just me looking for faults. I will be mounting it on a dedicated Mobile stand, with storage space for it's tools and my Scheppach single sander stored beneigth.

Only 6 months old and the switch isn't working. Contacted Amazon and they contacted the supplier. They've offered a replacement switch but I have no clue how to fit and should this even be an option with this type of machinery? Very disappointed.. I was pleased with the bandsaw but only lasting 6 months isn't acceptable. I have a Clarke machine but struggled to get replacement blades so purchased this Sheppach Bandsaw, maybe I'll just have to take a trip to machine mart to buy the blades and revert to using my old machine which is incidentally 5 years old!

Delivered 2 days early with no prior notice. luckily we were home. The assembly instructions could be easier to work through. Set up was made difficult due to the table assembly being fixed 6/8 mm to left of where it was supposed to be, however managed to get it running satisfactorily. Cut as expected in freehand mode. Was surprised, given the table alignment problems, that the cut parallel to the fence was exact. Aside from some misgivings on the extent the table could flex, i am reasonably pleased overall.

Ich habe mich für eine kleine Bandsäge, um 2 - 3 cm starke Bretter für Vogelhäuser u.ä. winklig zuzuschneiden, entschieden. Meine Stichsäge sägt nicht so gern senkrecht. Mit der Handkreissäge muss ich ständig Anschläge anheften um genau zu arbeiten. Es sollte etwas einfaches mit Anschlag und Winkeleinstellung etc sein. Die Scheppach HSB30 machte einen vertretbaren Eindruck. Beschreibungen auf YouTube waren auch ok. Amazon wie immer super. Verpackung Beschreibung OK und vollständig. VDE Stempel auf dem Motor. CE auf dem Sägegehäuse. Bandsäge auf einer Aldiworkmate mit Schnellspannzwingen standsicher befestigt. Als erstes Doku studiert. Vormoniertes Sägeband kontrolliert und justiert. Also gespannt und ausgerichtet. Dann Seitenanschläge (Bolzen) oben und unten (0,5) eingestellt. Die Längsanschläge (0,5 mm) ebenfalls. Die Längsanschläge werden als Stützlager bezeichnet. Es sind Kugellager, die das Band nach hinten begrenzen; an der Stirnseite des Kugellagers!? (Bild) Also keinerlei Lagerung, sondern nur Begrenzung. Da kann man auch einen Edelstahlbolzen mit einer Nut verwenden oder eine selbstsichernde Schraube. Bei der ganzen Einstellerei (Sägeband/Anschläge) braucht man Geduld bis dann nichts mehr schleift und das Band mittig auf den gummierten Antriebsrollen läuft. (Ich: 60 Minuten um alles richtig zu machen und zu testen. Mit 0,5mm Lehre!? Es geht auch in 10 Minuten! Lächel.lll) Dann den Tisch mit den Anschlägen angebaut. Hier mußte ich feststellen, das der Gährungsanschlag in seiner Schiebe-Führung ca 1mm Spiel hat. Säge läuft ruhig ohne Nebengeräusche. Motor macht einen guten Eindruck. Testschnitt am Seitenanschlag mit 90 Grad Gährungswinkel als Anschiebehilfe. Der Schnitt in ein Mahagonibrett war sauber. (Bild) Leider wandert das Sägeblatt auf 7cm um 1mm aus! Der Schnitt selbst war senkrecht. Tisch hab ich vorher zum Blatt 90 Grad gewinkelt. Das 7mm Sägeblatt mit grober Verzahnung wurde mitgeliefert. Ich werde mir noch einmal ein breiteres 1 - 1,2mm Band beschaffen. Fazit: Die Bandsäge macht einen guten Eindruck. Die Sägeblattführung ist meines Erachtens verbesserungswürdig. Hier sollte an den Längsanschlägen eine einfache genutete Führugsrolle wie bei Stichsägen zum Einsatz kommen. Die gibt dann Längs- und Seitenführung. Das obere Stützlager wird durch das Gehäuse in seiner Funktion begrenzt, also ausser Funktion gesetzt. (Fertigungs-Endkontrolle?, siehe Bild) Nach Arbeitsende sollte das Sägeblatt entspannt werden. Vor neuen Projekten und nach Sägebandwechseln geht die fummlige Einstellerei dann wieder los. Bei meinen Einstellarbeiten lief beim händischen Rückwaertsdrehen der Sägebandrollen das Sägeband runter. Vorwärts nicht. Das Spiel des Gährungswinckels kann man evtl. selbst beheben. Die Bandsäge mit dem 7mm Blatt hat meines Erachtens zu viel Spiel. (Anschläge, Sägebandspannung etc.) Gerade Schnitte, auch mit gekippter Platte wandern aus. Ich werde mal ein 1,2mm Band probieren und die Anschläge auf 0 mm setzen. Ansonsten wird sie bei mir für Freihandschnitte eingesetzt. Die Säge wird in China gefertigt, wie alle anderen dieser Preiskategorie wohl auch. Wenn die Säge auf 10 - 20 - 30 cm nicht auswandert gebe ich 5 Sterne. Habe heute alle Anschläge bzw. Führungen auf minimalen Durchlass eingestellt. Ca. 15cm Mahagoni im rechten Winkel gesägt. Kein nennenswertes Auswandern. Es geht doch mit viel Fummelei! Längsschnitt (Faserrichtung) eines 60cm langen 2cm starken Hartholzbrettes mit leichten Auswanderungen. Kann man mit Bandschleifer korrigieren. Beim sägen muß man sehr langsam und aufmerksam vorgehen. Ich gebe der Bandsäge 4,5 Sterne, wegen der umständlichen Fummelei beim Einstellen vor jedem Projektbeginn. Ein gut eingestelltes Qualitätssägeblatt ist absolute Voraussetzung für gute Ergebnisse.
