Outshines the other's I've bought
Years ago, I had a very small portable Sony AM/FM that was longlasting and had terrific reception. Alas, Sony discontinued that model and made a larger one - about an inch think and 4 inches tall. It was a complete waste of money--static mostly. I ordered a second, and had same reception problem. I just purchased a Jazmm portable AM/FM -much smaller and compact than the Sony. It takes 2 AAA batteries, as opposed to the AAs Sony requires. Immediately --great, clear sound. All sorts of features - sleep/snooze, etc. but what delights me is the reception. I'd been listening to the radio on my iphone, but the streaming often skipped. This is absolutely a first-rate product, and I am overjoyed. It's streamlined, super light and small, and dependable.

For the price, not a bad little radio.
This radio was easy to set up, owner’s manual was clear to read and with good information. The sound quality wasn’t to bad for this size radio and the price paid. AM and FM reception is good. The sound quality with earphones on FM is good and in stereo. AM band was also good. My only complaint was the display screen had a few minor scratches upon delivery. For the price, this radio seems to be a pretty good deal. Update: There was nothing wrong with the screen. I forgot to remove the protective strip on the screen. The company for this radio is excellent to deal with.

It works for me
I was looking for a small, simple, AM/FM radio with decent reception that I could listen to on walks and while I relaxed on my deck. This seems to fill that role. Set-up was easy with no need to consult the tiny and somewhat insensible instruction booklet that came with it. For me the reception is adequate. I mostly listen to two am radio stations that broadcast news and talk. They come through quite clearly, but they are the most powerful am stations in our region. The user will have trouble receiving weaker AM signals. FM reception is quite excellent with the antenna extended. The AM sound by speaker is a bit 'tinny', but this is a 'micro' sized radio and a cheap one at that. The FM fidelity is surprisingly quite good for the speaker's size and quality. Sound quality is improved if you use the provided earbuds.Bottom line, there are many better small radios on the market at much higher prices. Quite a few of these cheap Chinese-manufactured radios don't work at all out of the box. This one is cheap, but it's not junk. In any event, you get what you pay for.If this lasts through Spring and Summer, I will be quite happy. It works for me.

Very good but not great...
I purchased to replace a Sangean I had for many years. For the price, it is a very nice radio but with some caveats...On the plus side: it is pretty easy to use and set the presets and clock. I am currently in a work-from-home situation and from the second-story room of my home, In my experience, I get great reception in a suburban area for both AM and FM stations and pretty decent regional AM reception for regional stations within 90-mile radius (obviously having to position the radio and avoid setting it near other electronic devices while listening to distant AM stations.) Also, I rarely use it without headphones but it is nice to have the external speaker and the size is just right for a pants pocket. On the minus side: It really burns through AAA batteries. I listen to it a couple of hours each day and it really goes through batteries- much more quickly than the Sangean I had previously. I have just purchased some rechargeables so I can swap those out as needed but definitely not long battery life. Also, the lock feature is not great and the clock resets every time the batteries are changed so I don't even set it anymore.

Battery life is nonexistent.
I bought this thinking it was the same as an old radio I used to use. My old radio would last for days without changing the batteries even when left at higher volumes. I would let it play in the background 24/7 at home, even when I wasn't there. This one literally last hours at best before it starts cutting out and then the batteries die in well less than 24 hours, no matter what volume. Do not buy this cheap POS.

Great Customer Service
Enjoy using this product while tending my gardens. Bought one a few years ago and accidentally broke the antenna. So, I purchased it again in February. Unfortunately, in late June the radio stopped working but the clock continued to work. I contacted the company, and they immediately returned my email and offered a replacement. I agreed and within 5 days I had a replacement and I'm back to using it during my gardening escapades.

Find something else
The batteries go very quickly and the tuning has a hard time picking up stuff without the antenna fully extended.
