BEAUTIFUL FLYING KITE
BEAUTIFUL FLYING KITE !!! Just flew it today on Pensacola Beach today after the Blue Angel airshow. Before the airshow, I flew it without tails. The airshow security team drove up on an ATV and said, "I got 2 things to say. One, you got to bring the kite before the show starts and, two, I'm surprised you even got that thing in the air with no wind blowing." You can "self launch" the Conyne kites by resting them on the edge while you back up and reel out some line. Keep it balanced until you're ready to launch, then tug on the line, (I use a reel) and up it goes - no effort at all. It flies GREAT...in fact, another person was flying a parafoil kite and the line angle was about 40 degrees. This kite flies almost straight overhead, about 80 degrees angle. And when I went to reel it in, it actually flies forward and gets behind me. I flew it with and without tails, and both are acceptable, but the tails make it much more stable. It never moves from it's position. Not only this specific kite, but all Conyne "Box Delta" kites share this feature. The parafoil flyer came over and asked where I got the kite. I'm sure he'll be adding the Conyne "Box Delta" kite to his collection.

BUY THIS KITE!
I've purchased maybe ten or so <$50 single line kites on a'zon and the bay. For the money, this is the best of the best. It's eager to catch the wind, and works in a variety of wind conditions with the correct line weight/strength. I've used a 50# line on really calm days, and a 150# for most other days. The kite is also extremely predictable. Ever send a kite up and it's wild, and you're worried it might hit something? Not with this kite. But that's not to say it's a boring kite; it's as if it's clearly communicating what the breeze is doing, and what it can do at different altitudes. There's a lot of fun to be had giving the line a ton of slack and then seeing where it goes. And if you do happen to crash - this kite isn't likely to do much damage to anything, and if it get's trashed, it's pretty cheap to replace.

Good Kite. No tail needed. Handles stronger wind well.
Good Kite. No tail needed. Handles stronger wind well. The string that comes with it is twisted and tends to twist and tangle. A thicker braided line is better. In a strong wind it pulls hard. The supplied kite string does have a handle. There is one cross piece that has to be inserted on each end. It is straight forward and easy to do. The components appear to be good quality.

Strong pull easy to assembly.
Cant beat this for the price flys good in modest and high winds i flew in very high winds on the beach with a 20 ft tail on a 800ft line and it flew amazingly. I recommend a crank winder because it has a good stong pull.

It loves to fly
This has to be the easiest to fly kite ever. No adjustment needed. Right out of the box went to about 400 feet , and it flies at a steep angle , almost straight up. Good value. This is my second one of this kite , first broke the line in a wind gust.

Failed to fly properly even in light wind, eventually looping and crashing
My anemometer read 10MPH, right in the middle of the range for this kite. It pulled to the right no matter what I tried. I brought it in twice, made minor adjustments but it wouldn't fly straight. My only theory is that it was made incorrectly and the keel/coyne was off enough to make it deviate to the right. Wind picked up to 12, looped, looped, looped and crashed into the ocean. Garbage. I have never had this issue with my high end deltas from The Kite Loft, Into the Wind etc.

Great all around kite
Delta DCs are arguably the best all around kite you can own. Ive flown everything from giant flowforms to small stunt kites, and the Delta Conye is by far the most versatile. They are next to impossible to knock out of the sky and fly in the most varied conditions. This little DC doesn't disappoint and doesn't need a tail. It's made to take abuse, and while it uses fiberglass vs carbon fiber it doesn't affect its weight much. Carbon fiber would give it a better low wind range by a hair, but would make it more fragile. Only negative is the kite line that came with it is garbage. Get 500' of decent 50lb kite line, or 1000' and put it out of sight with your kids.

This kite is Legit!!
This kite is Legit!! Had it 3 years now and it’s still going strong. I added to 25’ tails and a reel winder. Also got a bag to hold the kite and all my accessories. It is always a head turner and can be seen from long distances. We go to the beach and camping and this is the market we use for people to find it. Last month we added 4 flags and two wind socks to the line and it didn’t affect the kite at all. It flies up super easy with one person and stays up well. I highly recommend this kite.
