i wear a true size 9, will these be too big with the 9- 9.5 range?

I too am true 9 and ordered the 9-9.5, they fit like a glove. Can't say enough good things about this sandal.

Do these sandals support arches well? Can straps be adjusted for wide width feet?

yes...I have much trouble finding sandals for my wide feet and arches and these I love...the adjustability is great

Are these sandals appropriate for wearing in water? does ecco make any sandals for the water?

I bought these for hiking and kayaking. The red dye runs when you get them wet and stains my feet and any other fabric it comes into contact with while wet. Otherwise they’re great for water.
