A pretty present
This was a present and the person I bought it for was very happy with them. They're really pretty and I bought a separate personalised box to put them in as they come in a nice bit basic metal holder.

Good quality
Surprisingly rather good! They're lasting me quite a while and to my amazement they aren't any louder than the plastic ones

Excellent product
Loved these picks. Bought for my son. Unique and unusual design. Love them. Good quality and perfect thickness.

It is pretty neat as a concept.
Not much louder than my plastic ones, but they might be thicker too. Pretty good, better vibe.

They're wooden picks! Don't sound great
Strange, I wasn't sure how i would feel about a wooden pick. The feel in the hand is high quality and the wood is dense but not thick like a bass pick. The look is lovely and being able to see the wood grain I'd very nice. The sound is odd, alot brighter and more tinny than regular picks, so if you're looking for a warm sound I wouldn't recommend. These aren't varnished or anything which I think would greatly help with the sound issue, but they're more of a decorative piece than anything.

What a Diverse Tone Set - Like having different pickups to play through
I have been thinking about wooden picks for a long time, like the last 10 years. I was in Costa Rica at that time, and bought a few of them because they looked like they would be a nice addition to the coffee table. I've been playing guitar since I was 10 and I'm deep into tone. I've got a Marshall Plexi and a Dr Z Z-Lux, with mostly Fender Tele and Strat guitars. I'm really into clean tones and natural, organic sounds. And I play and have classical guitars, nice ones. So I found one of my picks from Costa Rica about 2 months ago 5000 miles from where I live now, and in a storage room I'm keeping in the states. It is really thick, this pick, but sounded amazing in comparison to my regular plastic picks I've been playing with all my life. I got me on a tone quest which led me here. Wood picks sound warmer and provide more articulation, a much more detailed, open sound in comparison to plastic picks. I decided to try to stock up on wooden picks after my experience, so I bought enough of them, through Amazon and from different companies, to get free shipping. The first batch that came in was from a different vendor, and the picks were actually plastic. I then bought about 3 packs of thicker wooden picks, maybe 12 in a pack, and not from Stickpick (not these picks), and the tone wasn't exactly the best, but not bad and better than plastic picks. They also feel slow, as in the attack is not as immediate as I'm used to. And they have an uncomfortable feel. I have to turn it at a certain angle to get it to behave. Those things I can adapt to for the sake of a wooden sound. But let's get to the STICKPICK SET now - WOW!!! And if I could, I would type this section in larger text. I looked at the size of these things and was disappointed before I even held one. Then I smelled them and examined the detail in quality. Then I played with one and I could not believe what I was hearing. I have a nice Fender Strat that I've painstakingly pushed to the limits with every little detail being accounted for, especially the pickups. With these Stickpicks, about 3 in this batch of 7, the guitar sounds like a vintage strat! There is a tonal quality, a quackiness (like a duck call), that these picks are emanating. And the 3 have different types of wood, with slightly varied thickness between them. The other ones sound great too, each having a slightly different sound, and about 2 in the batch with fairly obvious differences. One sounds a little darker, for example. In one pack, such versatility. Different thicknesses as well. Both the types of wood and the thicknesses have an impact on the tone. All the picks are cut well, which is very different than the other batches that I've got from other stores on Amazon. There are some in the pack, maybe 3, that are fairly thin in thickness. I don't normally play thin picks because they typically sound like paper to me, but these thin Stickpicks sound so perfect, and they are making me pick up my tele for rhythm parts. I'm experimenting with ways of playing that I wouldn't normally consider, and it's making things fun. I've never heard a pick sound so good, and frankly, I had no idea after over 35 years of playing that picks could influence guitar sound this much. The thicker picks in this pack will be my go tos, and there is one in particular that has the best sound that I've gravitated towards. The downside of these picks is that they are about 70% the size of normal picks, but the upsides far outweigh the downsides. In these 7 picks, there is as diverse a set of tones/timbres as having 3 or 4 different pickup sounds on your guitar. And I would not have written this much if I wasn't absolutely jazzed about these things. Get them!
