just got stove tested today
just to let you know I just got the titanium model today. have not tried it out yet but it looks and feels great. I will tell you just for your info it weighs in a little heavier than they advertise. they advertise 7.3oz but mine weighs around 10 oz and yes my scales are recently state certified lab scales so I know know they are correct. but less than 3 oz difference is not a big deal for me compared to 18 oz of the stainless model still a half pound less than that and the stainless model is prob heavier than advertised also. very pleased so far, maybe ill get to try it out over Christmas holidays Ok so i just got to test the stove today. It works perfectly cooked up instant soup boiled 4 cups water in about 4 min. Also discovered that my older (circa 1980 or so) msr xgk fits inside perfectly which makes a perfect windscreen and puts the pot higher away from the burner which makes it much nicer for cooking. Pretty much a perfect addition to my setup now i can cook with wood in good weather and gas when things are rough outside. NOTE: neither by my newer xgk nor any of my whisperlite stoves will fit inside just my older xgk (no legs)

Used it several times... Love it!
I got the titanium version, and yes it is titanium! Some reviewers suggested that it's not, they must not know their metals. My stove is very light weight, assembles in a snap, sturdy and easy to use with multiple fuel sources. I have used my stove several times, and it cooked everything perfectly. I even cooked various meats on it by using a small grill grate over the top. In closing, this is a great way to add to your cooking tools while on trail or bushcrafting.

Awesome Stove!
Purchased the titanium version. It was lightweight and easy to maintain a small fire on during our backpacking trip. Kind of tricky to put together for the first time FYI. The design creates a nice hot stove flame that boiled water for us within just a few minutes.

Lightweight and better design than comp!!
I have the SS and just received the Titanium version of this amazing stove. I can say that the one sold here is indeed Titanium and the SS stated in the description is wrong because the Ti version is much lighter. I also have an Emberlit stove and this KampMate is significantly better IMO for two reasons. 1. It appears to be about a third larger which means more room for fuel and more heat generation and dispersion. In real life use, the larger feeding hole is also much better and practical. 2. The Emberlit has a solid bottom which quickly builds up ash with nowhere to go. Kampmate uses a series of holes on the bottom of theirs for better aeration and to release ash buildup. A long stick to poke around in the chamber helps to release the ash. These are hungry stoves and the rather quick ash build up on the Emberlit can be inhibiting if not allowed to be dropped away from the bottom through the holes like the ones that are provided by the superior Kampmate design. For me its a no brainer! KampMate wins! Excellent product that will last many many years!

Great little dude.
Great little dude, packs down to almost nothing. Great if you're worried about running out of fuel with the little cans. Can get way hotter than you'd think.
